Don't think we have seen this one yet... '98 Red/Tan B 3-pedal with 20k Ferrari 355 Berlinetta | eBay
A lot of people have claimed in the past few months they are looking for a low mile GTB 3 pedal with shields (cant tell if those are factory or not). Interesting to see what happens with this one.
Seems like a great deal. I've communicated with the seller, and he said he likely has a buyer and could possibly end the auction early. Last major was done in 2005 according to his records.
Looks like a nice car. Maybe the color is hurting the sale? When I was looking the only search option was red and there weren't an abundance of low mileage spiders with that criteria. Black Horse seems to corner the market on red low mileage spiders.
This is a pretty amazing asking price for a garden variety, red 6 speed Spider with "normal" miles. Used 2000 FERRARI F355 3.5 Spider 2dr for sale in West Yorkshire | Pistonheads US$234,000
No major service in 10 years. Car likely needs a lot of attention as it's probably not been driven much.
It has 48k on the odo. That seems correctly priced in this (strong) market. 6 months ago, this would have been low $40's.
I heard this car at Exotic Motors Midwest already sold... 1999 black/tan stick 2-owner with 22k miles asking 129,900. Image Unavailable, Please Login
That's true! Great value though. Any car that's sorted and sells for half the price of a low mile garage queen IMO is a good buy.
I agree. If I was looking right now I would be all over this one to see if everything checked out. I'll take a well sorted driver over a garage queen all day long.
Does anyone know if "KROME" or "WIND" (whatever name he had before he was banned, real name mark kahn)... ...Every sold that hacked up burgandy colored 355? the one with the stored outside with the gas tank moved up front, cross member cut etc? It was for sale forever, Its either sold or he gave up Only link with pics i could find: 1995 Ferrari 355 Berlinetta 37k miles ($48,000) - Rennlist Discussion Forums and here http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/ferraris/430911-1995-ferrari-355-berlinetta-35k-miles.html
Long time listener, first-time caller. Just starting to learn about the F355 market. Interested as a potential first-time F-car owner (I guess I just like upping the degree of difficulty in everything I do). I came across this '97 but haven't seen it mentioned here yet. 97 Nero Source Motors Ferrari 355 Spider | eBay Carfax says 6 owners and it hasn't had meaningful mileage put on it since 2010, which would be 'interesting' to know more about. André at Source says they don't have very complete service record history, so the price is starting to make some sense - There's a mouthwatering PPI coming, then a likely major and some other belt/hose/tire replacement work immediately to follow. I haven't seen black/black on a 355 like this before, and I gotta say it looks really sharp. Any advice from folks who've traveled this road is much appreciated.
If service records go back at least 1-2 majors, I'm OK with it. Cosmetic condition looks excellent--the only thing I noticed was the unavoiadable seat bolster wear. The asking price is reasonable only if the service records are with the car. Looks like the Spider is following the B/GTS uptick. Inevitable, considering its lower production numbers.
