    I think this is the best angle for the 246, although there aren't many bad ones. :). Really an exquisitely beautiful car.

    From the Huntington Beach Concours last weekend. (Don't ask me why they had the Ferraris next to the Mustangs.)

    Beautiful car! I think it would be hard pressed to find a bad angle. I've started to appreciate them more in the last year or so. Espeically when you trace the lines of the modern cars all the way back. Their shape was way ahead of it's time, and I bet they stood out when they where on the road. *Not that they do not stand out now. :D


    Maybe to the concours people:
    Mustang= horse = Ferrari = horse? Maybe? :)

    i have been taking photographs of Dinos (and many other tipo) since the 206 arrived on the scene in about 1969 and I have never managed to capture the essence of that wonderful shape. I think that this says more about the design of the car than my photography!

    The three dimensional form of the Dino took my breath away then (think of the design of 'ordinary' cars in the late 60s) and is still beautiful 45 years later! Can a two dimensional picture really do it justice?

    I have loved Dinos since first seeing a drawing of the Dino 206 Berlinetta Speciale from the 1966 Paris Auto Show. I've owned Dinos since 1976, but have never yet taken a photo of a Dino that did the car justice. It is very true that when the Dino was introduced, its body design was very much ahead of its time. In an era when most European cars were quite boxy, and American cars were ridiculously long and wide, the Dino exhibited exquisite proportions from every angle. The Dino is still a gorgeous automobile, but when it was introduced, it looked as though it came from another galaxy. A true design classic for the ages. Fred

    Kevin! Nice to hear from you...been a long time since you and Rob teased me at the 1999 Tour Auto with my '59 Healey 3000 ( a great car) . I have gotten bitten by the Dino bug and when I get back to the UK i will show you photos of mine. One of em in condition nearly to your "naked " ones status!!!!

    Great shot to show how much lighter the Euro cars are - the front end on a USA Dino has a lot of metric sized rectangular tubing structure, rear also has this added and both are there becuase of the second, double tube bumper mounts for US regulations.

    You guys have it all wrong.

    The best angle is the view from behind the steering wheel at speed.

    Although for a static angle, I'm particularly fond of the shots Ferrari used in its promo stuff.
