The 458 Italia will likely be an ever depreciating asset (due to numbers), while the Scud won't. Additionally, In terms of driving experience I know someone who only reluctantly "gave up" his Scud for a Speciale. There was no way a "regular" Italia would have pried the Scud out of his hands.
Yea you can't compare the Italian to the Scud two totally different driving experiences... He Scud is more race car ish....
Black one just listed in classifieds for "above 190 offers" FYI. I doubt Danny actually knows what the car in LI sold for, so take it with a grain of salt.
This car was parked next to mine in the showroom when I stopped by to pick mine up. It is mint with brand new MPSS's. If anyone is interested in this car, PM me for the right salesman to talk to.
What is the "Driver's seat adjustment device"? Is it simply a Ferrari branded hex tool? Also, doesn't the Scud come with a wheel bolt socket?
So the drivers seat adjustment device is actually the adjustable seat mounts? I think the wheel bolt socket is a simple 17mm hex, i'll just buy one from sears.
Yes - adjustable seat rails. It is as you say - simply a 17mm hex : ) Did you know your bolts are titanium? I didn't realize until I had owned the car a couple months - very cool I think.
Great, thanks for the verification. yeah, I do know about the bolts as I'm coming from Stradale ownership. I also know I don't want to lose any as they are UBER expensive. lol Do you know if the coil springs are titanium as in the Stradale? That would be cool as well.
Yes, that is my understanding as well with regard to the springs. Just as an FYI - Tikore makes great aftermarket Ti bolts to order should disaster strike : )
I doubt you called them at all since you were telling people they were going for 300, when they could be had in the 140s. If you did call them, I'm sure they would tell you they sold it for list also, since...why devalue the next Scud they receive? There is no incentive for them to reveal the actual price if it is lower. We know of at least 2 member that bought more desirable scuds in the 225-240k range recently, so people should be aware of that so they are not misled - since that is the point of this community....not to pump prices.
I am biased, but, I don't understand why this car is still on the market ... no offers ??? New MPSC's ... just inspected by Ferrari Newport Beach and issued a 12 month extension on the Power Warranty Super clean California (whole life) car with 13.700 miles 2009 Used Ferrari 430 Scuderia at CNC Motors Inc. Serving Ontario, CA, IID 13633199 Available to see in Orange County, Calif Call me at 949.922.6437 G
I'm biased too, but on the other side...I believe the market is speaking...and saying the true selling price is lower than what you are asking. That's all.
I wonder if gold wheels put people off? There's a red one at Penske Wynn Ferrari that is really nice and well priced. But they still have it and it has gold wheels.
Even if someone doesn't like the gold wheels........get them powdercoated for $500 any color you want. I guess purists will cringe but, to each his own. I would have bought the red one but I didn't want to spend the extra $35k.
That could very well be the case. Another is maybe with prices of Scuderias rising at the rate they have over the past 1.5 years, shoppers just can't get their hands around a value before it moves again. I believe they are still on the rise although at a much slower rate. Personally, I love the gold wheels in combination with Rosso Scuderia and the gold stripe, the car looks awesome. As far as having an unusual color combination (wheels, paint) optioned at the factory, I thought was something to be desired, making it more rare (as long as it isn't yellow with red interior, MacDonalds ... I kid, I kid ) G
I agree with you...if this had been available when I was looking, I would have been excited...but played it cool obviously ; ) But over my life I've heard conservative people make silly comments about gold wheels so I think they do turn certain people off. Anyway - good luck with the sale...looks like an awesome car.
