You'd be surprised how illiquid most HNW actually are. Makes me sick when everything turned into a financial speculation. Funny how the speculator ends up making more margin on the car than the people who built it... no wonder West economies in major stagnation..

If they couldn't use the cars, why did they buy them in the first place? Really sad to see everything in this world turned into financial instruments. LaF was built to be driven and enjoyed not flipped by those already super rich.. just pure greed at this point.. Real enthusiasts aren't able to get access because a couple clowns want fatter bank accounts. Makes sense why Enzo hated his clients.

Yes it can. Capitalism is a perversion of economic exchange as evidenced even by these exotic cars.

...too many "fancy" derivatives, that get fancier and fancier as the numbers of real contributors to economies decrease.

that's exactly my thought to begin with. a person(assuming he knows the history and the marketing strategies of those companies producing them) who has a passion for such cars complains about the dirtiness of free market exchange. maybe a bit hypocritical?

I can see the LaFerrari being more desirable in the future compaired to the Enzo. After seeing both in person this weekend, the Enzo looks kinda trashy and amateurish. Silly actually. The LaFerrari is silly as well, but it's a bit more mature looking. The Enzo looks like it came off the drawing board of a 6 year old, where as the LaFerrari looks like it came from the drawing board of an 18 year old.

Both rare cars, but both rather silly.

@roma1280 Beautiful spec on your "Gemini Uno" Huayra ie chassis 96. Surprised that more people have not gone the all carbon or blue carbon route. Have you seen chassis 55? Another gorgeous blue carbon fiber/tan just like yours. Please post some more pictures of your Huayra and your friend's LF as soon as you can. Thanks.

I must ask, if the LeFerrari and Enzo are silly and amateurish respectively, what is serious and cool....a Corvette C7...

I've been told by both my Ferrari dealer and a broker that they heard this car sold earlier this week for the asking price of $5M. Can anyone verify this?

Last week they told my law partner, who lives close to there, that they had a $5 million dollar offer and were trying to get $5.1

I didn't believe it until now. I know the market is what someone will pay, but I really feel someone way overpaid here

If there were another word which exemplified "extreme overpaying" for something this would be the proper place to use it. This buyer paid so much over market, it's bewildering. I would love to find out who it is and pitch them a few things I'd like to sell. I've even got a bridge.

I do want to reiterate I heard this from two separate sources that it was sold at this price. I still don't know if this is 100% confirmed or just what they each heard. I guess somebody can call the selling dealership to at least find out if the car is available or sold. If sold then it is just a matter of whether they disclose the final price.

It still shows in their current inventory. Usually they put in their recently sold list if the car has sold. This is what I told the dealer when they told me it was sold.

Used 2014 Ferrari LaFerrari for sale in Naples, FL | Fort Myers

Did you call them and they confirmed the car is still for sale? If it has not sold as you say it still could sell, just highly unlikely to see anything with a 4 or 5 in front of it.
