Any indication of how many F12 VS will be available?

Any indication of F12 VS price?

Will normal F12 continue to be produced at the same time as F12 VS?

    Thanks!

Little late for the discussion and pleased to see that there is a new one coming. I have driven the GTO several times but never had the joy of owning one. I am glad to see that the new one is going to be another insanely hardcore beast. Cant wait to see it. The 599 was just a masterpiece on every level. Looks, power, sound and handling is not really comparable to anything else. Who cares if its called the GTO GTFO or STFU (to the haters). Cant wait to drive that one. Congrats who has managed to get a spot.

Ferrari, as do all continental European manufacturers, always quotes CV/PS (i.e. metric horsepower). We too need to adopt the metric system someday!

M, you are so right, definitely the special Version of the F12 wont do any harm to the 599 GTO; the GTO is what it is, it is just such a great car, btw thats also what Felisa said to me, quote " the GTO is a keeper!, you must never sell it". Best- e

Many, many thanks for these details. Does the rear of the car refer to 250/288GTO as suggested by earlier rumours?
My dealer remains unable to let me know when Private preview will be organized for French clients...

de rien, you r wellcome. The rear looks a lot like 250 GTO, the resemblance to the 288 GTO is the 3 air ducts in the rear part of the car. I want to add, that Ferrari until today has never ever produced a frontengined V12 car, that is so absurdely extreme in any respect. Best- e

Elipinski, thanks for your great information!

Any indication of changes to the chassis or suspension settings? Often these higher performance versions have stiffer components or settings compared to the normal car.

    Thanks!

Still blisteringly fast, that's 2 seconds down from the Berlinetta. Wonder what tires it's running on, and how much of the improvement they count for. The SC2's on Speciale count for 1 second of the 1,5 second improvement over the Italia.

Says 1.21 when I found the post you quoted from. :)

If the 488 is only ~10 km/h slower down the Fiorano straight than LaF, the VS must be right up there with it?

They'll probably recycle an iconic name from the past then and hang it on a car that has little or nothing to do with the spirit of the original. (Mondial, Testarossa, GTO, Superamerica, California, GTO again - am I missing anything?) It would come as no surprise to hear that they've named this thing the 630 Superfast, FF Europa, or something similar.

Blockbuster, thank you for the kind words. The undertray is redesigned, to produce more ground effect, as is the rear diffusor ( looks more LF-Style); also, many parts such as front- and rearbumper and the doors are made out of carbon fiber, suspension is stiffer, front wheels are wider in comparison to the standard F12, and oversteering is controlled via rear-tyre-steering. Downforce on standard F12: 124 kg, on Special Version: 230 kg!, thats really significant. best e
