Will there be a F12 "HGTE" Announced at Frankfurt in September?

to be fair, the 288 GTO was originally designed as a proper homologation special. but otherwise spot on.

given their love for recycling iconic names, I think "SuperFast" is due for a comeback.

 

Well we both know it's not unusual for dealership staff to 'confirm' things they really don't know. Hopefully Liquid's dealer has a solid foundation behind his confirmation - not just an assumption based on rumours.

 

Im being told it is one of the biggest/best dealers in the world...

Frankfurt. He promised me the 488 Spider in June/July of next year which seems early. I was told they get cars early because they sell so well.

 

One of my friends at my dealer told me he saw an F12 Spider mockup at the factory earlier this year, along with a 488 Spider prototype. So looks like things are moving.

488 Spider (GTS?) is a given. Still not sure about the F12... My dealer has 'seen' cars several times before. IIRC he said only the top of the F12 was covered, so he assumed it was a Spider, or something along those lines. Wouldn't know the details, wasn't there.

 

My dealer saw a whole bunch of styling exercises for the Cali T and commented on one of them that there was no point producing an F12 Spyder if they were considering that as the Cali T. For that he got an Italian smile.

488 GTS is coming much earlier in the cycle than on previous models, as, as Mister M says, they sell so well.

 

Believe me, it looks fantastic ...

Soo.. this is not the F12 HGTE/GTO/VS?, but rather a small series of bespoke FF's w/ more power, rear steering (of some sort), and rear roof styling that is being called 250 GTO/64-like, and rear slats ala 288 GTO.... ?

No no, different, its a FF, BUT like a SWB but not really, only "Virtual" - virtuale!

800 cars are not limited edition given the price point. Even aventador sv is around 600...
I am loosing interest more and more...
Just make 499 as usual and take 100 more orders for tailor made only.
