Especially as the article goes on to say how the experience made Massa realise just how important a simple autograph could be to a fan!

    Good article.

But am I alone in being tired of Lewis' persistent comparison between himselves and Ayrton? Always on about how he drives like Ayrton, acts like Ayrton etc etc.

    Good article.

You might not be alone, but I don't think you're being fair. Hamilton's comments do not make any claim to him driving like Ayrton or acting like Ayrton. He says Ayrton inspired him - is that wrong? He says, specifically, "You like to think that one day you may be recognised as someone that was able to drive similarly to him. " Is that not a worthy goal for a driver? You don't think it's admirable that he would want to try to drive like Senna? Or is some dislike of Hamilton colouring your view of his comments?

Of course it is a worthy goal, and I was not specifically referring to this statement in particular. He has on numerous occasions previously made statements comparing himselves to his idol. I think a quick google search will probably show some results.

I do not dislike Hamilton, he is one of my favorite drivers on the grid. I'm simply a bit tired of some of is comments.

Any chance we can stay on topic? What has this got to do with Massa and his irreversible ability to suck?

Massa's race in the Williams starting to look very much like his races at Ferrari (post accident).

Is the motivation already gone again?

Massa seems to have pace, then as soon as something goes wrong he just seemingly gives up.

As has been already said many times, Massa has been reduced to the status of Pay Driver. As soon as someone comes along that can either a. bring a bigger cheque, or b. generate more cash for the team by generating substantially more points and hence F1 cash share out $$, he will be toast. I'm surprised he is satisfied with himself about the situation he is putting himself in.

Has never known how to push all the time. If the race doesn't come to him it simply won't happen ... this is how a number 2 is determined.

Massa is on borrowed time in F1. The longer he stays on now, the further he cements his position as a journeyman.

    Agreed with all the comments.

His sponsorship money will keep him in F1. When it runs out he will announce that he wants to spend more time with his family.

Or he just doesn't suck, as made clear yesterday with his podium over Vettel. He didn't buckle under pressure.

I really really like Massa. But IMHO >95% of his latest success has a Mercedes badge on it.
