Ultra high net worths - my point is there is a lot of money out there that's going to be in the hands of people who literally have run out of **** to buy - they have 5 houses already, cple planes, boats, art etc....

Yeh I can believe that if Ferrari's are indeed the cars to buy. I read recently that Ferraris haven't always been the cars of choice. It's hard to believe that and not sure if i even read it correctly.

i think i would agree ..... if only 0.5% of these guys are looking to buy a 512TR, or , let's face it, any flat 12 Ferrari....then there would be an unholy scramble for these cars in the not too distant future

Don't feed into the bull$hit "frenzy". No reason to waste your money in a seller's market right now and being taken to the woodshed on speculation. They WILL come down in a few years. WAIT and buy again when the time is right. Can't stress this enough. Let the morons paying $150,000 for a standard Testarossa and $300,000 for 512TRs to take it on the chin when the bubble pops. There will be enough "oh man, how could I have been that stupid" members in the "overpaid club" in due time, don't be in a rush to join them.

I have currently offered a 512tr with 15k miles on this board for 300k. Seller to buyer, no money made on my part. Still for sale..no offers.

If it was truly worth that kind of money, it would have been sold by now offer still stands. 300kusd and it's yours. Buyer to deal directly with the seller. I'm out of it.

Coming from the market expert Redliner who sold his salvage TR and missed most the appreciation. Now screaming from the hills on every value thread how things are overvalued. Self proclaimed Vegas realestate guru who lost his arss holding 8 properties in 07-08. But we should take his advice now. Whatever

the 512tr is a far better car than the testarossa, but given that they look nearly the same, the modified model will always be higher, but will also always be draged down a little.

my answer was my opinion, and a matter of perspective. i may end up being wrong. but there is no cost in that result for me since i am already on the train - i know this. so if you really want the car then i dont want to stop you and then regret it in a few years when it might be higher (if we continue with zirp and defy economic gravity).

Here is MY point of view. I'll take the Countach for exemple because it's MY dream car.

If I had the money to buy a CT now at the price they are selling would I buy one? Sure.

Do I need a CT? Do I need half a mil? Both answers are no.

All we need in life is air to breath, food and water to live and a safe place to sleep. If you're thinking about buying a 512TR again is because you're not missing any of the above.

I personally never look at my bank account and have a smile. But every time I look at my cars or take a ride in one of them I'm a happy guy and the smile is there. If next week my cars are worth nothing I'll still be a happy guy. And I'll still have food and a house to live.

Next week I might be dead!!

When I bought my Testarossa I bought it because I wanted the car. I accepted the fact that I may loose money on it and bought it anyway because it made me happy. Do I regret? No way, I could even double my money selling it today. Am I ready to sell? No! I still love the car and don't need the money now.

    Redliner......wtf......who pissed in your cheerios.
I agree with the last post 100% I could be dead tomorrow. Just lost my Dad to cancer recently, you never know. If you want it get the darn car. Life is to short to worry about money, if you're looking to buy a Ferrari, any Ferrari then money is no issue just a barometer of which Ferrari.

Here's my take. Majority of current TR owners are bullish and the majority of those that sold short are bearish. That makes sense to me.

$399,900 firm. Also have an F512M for "double that price". They certainly have the best stock.

Since this thread has now tended to whip up the market and raise prices, I suppose I won't be jumping on the bandwagon!

Calmer heads have prevailed. Not going to chase after it.

    Thanks to all who contributed.

    oh my lol.....you mad son?

Don't worry, soon enough the nonsense will stop and those who think the market frenzy "WILL NEVAR END!!!!"...will be left with over inflated cars along with deferred maint just waiting for the "end of bubble" sucker to tackle the 5 figure repair bills. First it was RE, now it's sports cars....I love it. The stupidly of this nation will NEVER cease to amaze me. When Ford GTs (yes that's correct I said FORD) start getting speculated over $300,000......it's called a MASSIVE bubble haha. Who in their right mind is paying $300-400K for a Ford??? MORONS! That's who ;-)

They just can't help themselves fall victim to the hype and speculation. So once this bubble pops, what's gonna be the next thing suckers with more money than brains get suckered into? Can't wait to find out!

u need meds - u want to compare a few hundred thousand on a car being bought by someone who has millions in the bank to the real estate bubble where u had people making 50k a year with debt buying 500k houses?

    that makes sense
