    I just drained gear box oil on my f355 and on filler plug, there's a rubber around crush washer what is that and am i suppose to replace rubber? Is there suppose to be a rubber ring around drain plug as well?

    I didn't have a rubber seal on either of mine, just the copper crush washer

    I know, thread from the dead... but I hit this with my big nasty impact wrench and it just laughed at me.... saying silly human, you will not open me so easily... here comes the heat gun!!!

    I am surprised you would have to use an impact gun on this. And even more surprised that that the impact didn't crack it.
