Not correct. I am a UK resident dealing through a UK dealer and as I posted some time back, July is when most UK buyers get to see the car and that was confirmed and I now have an invite for the 20th which I cannot make. Furthermore, you are not expected to spec at the preview especially as right hand drive cars will be middle 2016. Only the early LHD owners had to spec on preview.

I said there were probably earlier viewings, I stand corrected, in Europe too. As for the rest of my post, I'm also a UK resident dealing through a UK dealer. I guess I wont be seeing you at the factory on that date then.

Exclusive: Ferrari F12 GTO to Debut at Frankfurt Motor Show 2015

Some of those infos seem to be wrong.

I trust elipinski more than GtSpirit wich is by the way a good & serious automotive website.

But they state that The GTO name is sure, 800hp Vs 780Hp from Elipinski, and and an hypothetical KERS wich seems to be complete BS

An article full of inaccuracies and unfounded speculation.

I can tell you what was told to me by someone who has seen the car - unfortunately he wouldn't be more specific but he has been around these cars for a really long time and I trust his judgement. He said the car is a masterpiece and not just aggressive but really beautiful and he is truly impressed with it.

So this just makes our mouths water even more!

I asked for pictures etc and of course he says he has none and that's all the detail he will provide at this time.

Fellow F-Chatters, Ferrari calls it SWB because the design is such, that the wheelbase in fact gives the impression of beeing shorter than the Standard F12, because the siderearwindows where redesigned. This appearance is very much intended by the designers, but in fact the wheelbase is exactly the same as the standard F12. BTW, definitely NO! Kers. Best- e

So could it become F12 SWB? Very depressing I cannot make the date for my invite but lucky to be asked so I guess it means a blind deposit.

Doesn't sound too far fetched. The only problem I see, is that it really does not tell anything about the cars other performance enhancements or "raw" nature.

So have any USA dealers gotten any information about this car or any invitations for the "unveiling" in August? My dealer has absolutely no info of any kind as of yet.

Still very hard to believe it will be GTO, when the name will be official ? Some say it won't be...

If the prices seen on the used market for the 599 GTO (or any limited production F-car for that matter) is any indication, a blind deposit on this F12 SWB is not very risky.
So far every person who've seen the car said is was stunning, and I'm confident Ferrari will once again deliver something great, that could potentially be the last non-hybrid V12.

Anybody in the US got in touch with their dealer asking about this car? What is the answer?

Same in the east coast and mid west.

I know the parisian dealer has confirmed having sold 5 cars already. At this point US dealers should at least acknowledge that this car exists.

Couldn't agree more but isn't it still huge fun to be manipulated by one of the best marketing machines on the planet? The product is king but the way maranello gets everyone dribbling is pure class 😀
