I was driving today and saw this shiny bright red ferarri...or was it a ferarri? It looked almost identical to the 488 GTB but had a ferarri shield badge on the tail of the car, and had weird looking headlights, as in not the long led ones that almost all new ferarris have. Does anyone have a clue what this could've been? It's been bugging me all day.

You lucky guy, you saw the prototype for the new Dino that will only be offered with a 7 speed manual transmission.

Since no current production Ferrari has a shield badge located on the rear of the car, this can only mean that you caught a glimpse of the one and only Ferrari F88 IlDino Speciale Superfast Prototipo. Rumor has it they've been doing cool/drizzly weather testing with the car in and around Albany, NY. Here are some rare spy shots. Does this look like what you saw?

That's a new $5000 option for those who think two $1800 shields on the side isn't showy enough.

    And I heard that it's a 4-cylinder i.e. inspiration from the 50's Monza.

Shields aren't big enough IMHO. Need to be 50% larger just in case anyone confuses it with a Porsche replica. Also needs shields on both seats.

Can you imagine if it actually WAS a dino prototype.. that they made look like a replica for testing purposes? :)
