All this talk of COAs has me a little envious. I have no luck here in Australia obtaining a COA for my 76 ROW after 2 years of trying. Could any of you good folk in the states point me to where I might be able to go fishing for one in your neck of the woods?
Note: Two of the links are the same silver Japanese delivered 930 (note the Japanese and Australian market side mirrors). I suspect the Becker in that car was fitted by Mitsuwa, the importer into Japan. The Copper Brown 1976 930 at Sloan didn't mention it was factory installed Becker, just that it had a Becker now. I think you wait until you see what is on your COA. At least then you have some documentation that shows what was fitted (though I've also seen several COAs that are wrong).
Thanks Ryan. I might have a Euro Bamberg for sale when all is said and done. Will report back once the COA is in hand and post it here.
Another restoration project for sale on Ebay. A few hours in and it has a $60k bid. Porsche 930 930 Turbo | eBay Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Luke - I sent you a PM. I had a COA for my 1975 Turbo in a little over a month so there's no reason why I can't order one from PCNA and then ship it to you. Porsche Certificate of Authenticity - Porsche Cars North America

Damn I love those tartan seats, I'm going to have to bust into my stash of sport seats and have a set done in tartan. Phil
Attention compressor police- I have Webster air compressors with three different style of feet- can anyone tell me what style is correct for what years of car. Thanks, Phil Image Unavailable, Please Login
Rectangular feet were first. Button feet second. No feet last (is what I have read elsewhere). I have never found any info on the dates. They came in two different boxes as well. Again, not 100% certain which box is correct. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I don't think there were consistent cross-over dates for the white case variations. By the time at least one of the editions of the 1974 911 owner's manual came out, the round rubber feet were already in photographs. So sometime during the 1974 model year the round feet became more common. Both may have been delivered in cars simultaneously. Eventually Porsche stopped having Webster ship the compressors and cases from Canada -> Germany and then back to North American IN the cars. Instead, the compressors were added to the cars as part of delivery to North America. The European 911/930s started getting compressors produced by BDW in late 1974, but continued to be inserted into white plastic Webster cases. Sometime during the 1976 model year, BDW started being inserted with their own blue vinyl case. For North America the Websters kept getting included in cars, and I think sometime 1976 or later the feet were just plastic crosses (e.g. no rubber or foam padding). I'm not sure what year that change occurred.
Additional photo of the silver 1976 Turbo Carrera at the Porsche Parade. It would be extremely unusual if a Turbo Carrera was delivered with a 930/50 engine. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
It would be interesting to know the engine number on the Porsche Parade car. They say build date 11/75. ROW "76" was built 10/75 and has a 930/50. Does this kind of blur the line between US cars being counted in the 400, if their claim is correct?
I think it is highly unlikely it has a 930/50 engine. The official Parade program listed it as a 1975 model year and it has 75 TURBO Ohio plates still a beautiful 1976 Turbo Carrera in silver with red leather w/ tartan-dress.
Hello and happy to join the thread! I am the happy owner of a 930 Turbo from 1976 (VIN 9306700391). I bought it some time ago from a good friend who barely used it. I must say that's definitely a GREAT car... Up to the legend. It is in copper brown metallic with a tan leather interior. I guess that's a classical combination. The car is completely original. The odometer is showing around 18000 km. Not sure if it is the original mileage (and actually I don't care) but the car is really superb. I intend to use it as it should, which is on the roads (in my case the French roads...) ! As soon as I can I will post pictures of my beast. Are 76 Turbos important in the 930 series? I am not a Porsche specialist so my knowledge of the relevance of this car is very limited... Apologies in advance... Best wishes
i wish the owner would chime in, if this car has been in ohio its entire life it may be pete roses car. I have a 76 silver and bought from the original owner a doc here in central ohio. He told me he got the second turbo delivered by the local dealer while the absolute first one was silver/red interior and delivered for pete rose.
Stunning colors on the 3-liter Turbos in this photo posted on 911motorsport Belgium - Events : 911 Motorsport.be The 3-liter Turbo on the left appears to be a 1975 model year equipped with a manual drivers mirror. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Didn't the description say repainted? If so, seems like big $$$ for a (at least) 2 owner car with only partial service records, original radio replaced. This amazing collector also maintains it's "UNTOUCHED" original interior with the exception of a upgraded stereo system. The exterior is finished in an amazingly restored #700 Black Factory Correct Color. Original owners manual and some service records will also be provided with this fine automobile. According to the title this vehicle was owned by one collector since 1990!!!! Porsche C.O.A is currently ordered!
Hello to all. I have recently bought a 1977 raw 930. The previous owner changed the cams to 964s The same time he was advised by the cams supplier to remove the rev limiter ( cut off ) due to the nature of this cams. My self I have the car only for few months and I want to have the rev limiter protection ! We tried to put the startard rotor with the cut off but the engine makes crazy sounds and vibrations at higher rpm !!! Few people told me that if I want the rev limiter my only solution is to use a MSD ignition and coil that offers a Rev Limiter ( Cut off ) Any ideas or other recommendations ? Regards
