Funniest/Stupidest comments you have received about your Ferrari

There is a serious way to ask how much a car cost. Explaining why you are asking does a great deal to break the ice. Valuation trends, looking to buy one, etc.

The ones that just want to hear an impressive number do not deserve a serious answer.

I think that a lot of people don't even think of buying a Ferrari because they think it's so far out of their realm. Then some of them see what looks like regular people in one - not movie stars or rappers - and they wonder so they ask.

Unfortunately, some friends and fellow car enthusiasts do ask how much it costs which makes everyone uncomfortable.

 

The average house in Aspen is $5million. We looked at a half duplex for $2million...cheapest we could find in 2011. Condos average $1million. Prices have recovered over that.

Dont think i could use the "same price as a house" statement here. Of course subsidised housing is about a third of free market, but you have to be a worker bee and win a lottery for those. No worker bees are driving Fcars here.

Saw my first Lambo of the year yesterday. Dont know whether it was a Huracan or Aventador. Havent seen enough to know the difference. Was not driving with the top down or i should say with the roof panels off. Food and Wine Festival started Thursday. Lots of pvt jets at the airport.

 

I've started using a variation of this when heckled about the car at gas stations... I just respond with "I'm just filling it up and taking care of it for the owner"

Last year at a car show, I had my Lamborghini Countach there. Some guy in his 40's comes up with his wife and is just gushing about how it was his dream car and he has always lusted after one and he's never seen a silver one, etc.

He's a bigger guy but I said, "you know, why don't you sit in it? You never know when you'll get another chance." So I watch this guy who was probably 5'10" and 200lbs or so very carefully wedge himself in the drivers seat. Once he was situated I asked him how did it feel, how was the view, etc. Then after he answered, I said, "well you'd better get out now because if the owner comes back and sees you in his car, he's going to be super mad." It was like this guy turned into a performer from cirque du Soleil in half a second because he rotated one seat perfectly and had his legs out, while instantly kicking off a massive sweat.

He was already out of the car when I said that I was only kidding and it really was my car.

The absolutely stupidest comment you can ever hear is "It was so low I didn't even see it."

When people ask me how much it costs I just say "a lot" and give a stupid grin.

 

The best one I've got is a older lady was walking down the street and stopped to admire my blacked out FF and said "this is the nicest mustang I've ever seen" I said "thank you" she went on to tell me "my son would really like this car". Then over the winter I tore my ACL and a girl helping me out with groceries said "I've never seen a mustang like this". I love it when people think it's a mustang Bc of the horse on the side.

Mainly due to the fact that besides being complete fabrications, his posts are unreadable because he doesn't know how to use paragraphs or punctuation, lol!

So I'm coaching little league and I see a 328 parked 50 feet past the first base bag just outside the foul line. The reason none is parked there is because a lot of foul balls land there. I said to my wife who is sitting in the stands behind the dugout.

Please find out what idiot parked his Ferrari over there and tell him to move it.

A BF to one of the divorced mothers stands up and says, I would be the idiot and moved his car. I apologized after the game and and he laughed it off.

I'm a car guy and just couldn't stand to see an Fcar trashed by a little leaguer.

 

That was harsh in your part. (the part about calling him an idiot). He was a good sport about it, though.

I've gotten that a couple times in my 360s.

 

I have a new Corvette in Germany and they all asked if it was a Ferrari.
