Owner should have ? Have not seen it in quite awhile, and my search skills on F chat suck straight up. Items included were, spare batteries for fob, a spare from an older Jag (I think) a Kia mirror for the passengers side ....... Thanks good list for new owners or new F chat people.
Cell phone, AAA card, paid for up to 100 miles tow, Tow hook A cloned fob List of CEL codes Elastic bands for the spider top Spare 30 Amp fuse for that Spal fan Extra Spal fan in the garage Extra water pump in the garage Plugzit phone number. Tis all you need.
Everything Yelcab says, plus perhaps: Allen wrench There was also a list of everything a 355 owner should have in the vehicle at all times. That, too, was helpful. I think it went something like this: Allen wrench heat-resistant gloves (Mechanix, etc) quart oil small container coolant (mixed 50/50) small can glass cleaner roll paper towels a couple shop/oil rags 1-2 small microfiber towels tool kit and all manuals (duh) cell phone (duh) extra fuses scan tool (to read CELs) number to roadside emergency service Italian-English dictionary (no, not really) ketel
Capistro stage 3 Challenge grill Red Satin seat covers / indoor cover Patience Extra 10k available Daily driver car Patience Soft water for washes Time to drive Patience
Seems there would be some differences from 2.7 to 5.2 as well. What are those key fob things everyone is talking about? Henry
surprised no one mentioned a fire extinguisher?? that's one of the first things I bought. In fact I bought one before even picking up my car lol. I had to drive it back 700kms to get home so I bought one before leaving and put it on the car when driving the 355 back.
Tomy, I think this is the thread you were looking for: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/348-355-sponsored-bradan/468850-what-tools-do-you-carry-your-car-all-time.html Barry
Capistro stage 3 -- way too loud Challenge grill -- overrated, even at the track Red Satin seat covers / indoor cover -- ?? why ?? Patience Extra 10k available -- better make than $40K Daily driver car -- absolutely Patience -- irredundant patience Soft water for washes -- unnecessary even in hardwater Texas-ville Time to drive Patience
Close...... at one point a long time 355 owner ( 15 years ) had a list of 10 things. He even had which Jag wheel to use as a spare ??? His list also had the Kia mirror to put over your passenger side mirror so you can actually see something. I installed the Kia mirror on mine, but don't tell anybody on F chat ..... it might drop my resale value and I don't want to catch hell for it.
Here is the thread http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/348-355-sponsored-bradan/444147-what-every-355-its-owner-should-have-based-15-years-ownership.html
a little hand jack to jack up the car in case you need to get underneath. and a plaid to lay on. so you can readjust the gear linkage, fix alternator, repair underbody panels but then you also need duck tape. fully charged cell phone in case you need to get towed away.
hockey pucks I would say every F-car owner should keep <hockey pucks> in his car in case the car ever needs to go on the lift. The junior league pucks seem to be a better fit than the official size pucks. All lifting arm plates and jack plates are not suited to make contact with an F-car. The pucks are perfect. Considering this, perhaps a set of wood 4x4s and a set of 2x4s to drive the car onto in order to raise the rear of the car up to facilitate lifting. Might keep these at home but handy to have.
I searched and could not find the item #2 Tangospell mentions ..... The Jag spare tire option. What is the "secret" when using the search feature ? Where the hell are my glasses ...........
Here it is: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/348-355-sponsored-bradan/278446-inexpensive-spare-tire-solution-2.html I just typed "Jaguar S-type space-saver spare" into search and there it was.
