Yup 355's are next - I have talked to a few very knowledgeable people and they say GTB's and GTS's stick cars are in VERY high demand. It does not surprise me at all, they are awesome cars.
Trend is indeed up. Bubble or not, values have a long way to go before I start thinking about getting out. A car that I would consider as a replacement to my 355 Ch is valued at >$2M.
Prices on the Bs have been on the way up since last year at about this time. Try finding one up here. Almost impossible. The price on them is moving slowly which is very healthy. The price on the Challenges is moving fast but not easy to track as there are not many of them.
Any reason y'all think this one hasn't moved, other than the non-rosso corsa/crema combo? 1995 Ferrari F355 Berlinetta | Blu Scuro Micalizzato on Tobacco | EM 101363 | Exotic Motors Midwest | It sure seems to have a favorable history on F-chat and its owner lineage seems strong. Price seems to be tracking lower than what the market generally commands, although all those $190K editions are really low mileage GTBs and S's.
Priced it to high to start was one of the problems. The color combo does hurt it no matter how appealing it is to some. Even those some people who like the color combo think about resale value when they want to sell it.
I e-mailed back and forth with them when it was $109k and they offered me quite a bit for my '77 GTB. In the end I decided it was above what I was willing to part with/pay. Now that it's lower, they lowered their offer on my car. At this point with 308's fetching $80k in 8-hours on this site (and $99k from EU Buyers of American cars) no way I'd straight up trade. My wife also insisted that "Ferrari's are RED (or yellow)" and I have to admit, as much as I like the combo, resale would definitely be tough. It would be long gone if it was red. Finally, it's been noted it sat on F-chat for 9-months last year at $72k and sold below that to the buyer who eventually traded it for a 512(IIRC). IMO the color and miles are hurting it, despite the care and maintenance records.
I'm not implying anything. It just seems like a worthwhile car that has sat unpurchased for /quite a while. As far as those who say it is difficult to sell because it is not red, (or yellow). I think it is probably time for a 'Red/Yellow' vs. 'Anything But' poll. But I'm afraid the 'Red/Yellow' boys would cheat.
when I talked to the seller at exotic, his bottom line was $82k. Now it is at another dealership for who knows how much.
I actually do like that car, not crazy about the interior its growing on me. Love blue but I won't pay that much for a 95 355 B since I already have one its just yellow. I'd have to sell mine then buy the color I really want and that's blue, and that won't happen anytime soon. I will be moving my 98 gts f1 sooner than that and I'd like something else.
good looking 355 over priced that price your in a 430 spider imo its a 85k car tops good luck to the seller
355 gtb will hold value better in long run,but im someone who buys exotic cars to enjoy them and not buying for investment ,ive had a 355 6spd coupe and it was fun but no comparsion to exprence driving a 430.
$129k for a 355 B car. Am I missing something? I appreciate them putting astronomical price on the car. But I don't think people are really paying these prices yet or are they...... Although I would say they are worth it indeed. I would take over 70k to part with mine and not sure at that figure.
You could probably pick this one up mid 70's and way better color combo. Cars for Sale: 1997 Ferrari F355 Berlinetta in Doral, FL 33122: Coupe Details - 397191620 - Autotrader
they had that blue one linked above for $109K earlier this year, dropped 3x to $84K and now it's at a dealer in Chicago. They are dreaming.....
