It's fun to fantasize about being Charles Bronson but in the real world you will get screwed.

I have had them installed on GT-R and Range Rover. My car is in the shop right now getting an overhaul of all the things the last owner let sit and go, then the cameras will be installed in it.

I highly recommend them even though I haven't had that kind of trouble. But then, I'm in Texas....

    Thanks for all the words.

Honestly, I got the Ferrari to enjoy it. Before this I had an Aston Vantage and rarely drove that thing because I feared the unknown. With the F430, I wanted to change that.

With respect to damage, I looked all over the car with a flashlight. I see no damage to paint or the car. A bystander shouted saying that some dude hit my car with a glass bottle. I could have been victim to a very childish prank. I am still not convinced and will check again in sunlight this weekend.

With respect to the comment about people taking pictures. Most of the time it is car spotters. 90% of them are very respectful and courteous. They do not touch the car, they keep a distance and do not get in the way. If I was in a P1 or La Ferrari, things may be different as they will do whatever to get a shot. But those folks are certainly the most respectful when it comes to exotics.

I am glad I didnt get a red ferrari. Grigio titanio all the way.

Good thing you didn't try and speed off or else a policy officer might have pulled you over for HTA 172 and towed your car home too.

I was not the most composed.

I wanted to get the hell out of there. Someone went in front of my car and started doing push ups. The light was green, and cars were all honking on me. I am not making this **** up. I normally have my go pro recording.

    Not a fun night.

Best comment by a long margin.

Concealed carry would have avoided the problem in question? Hahaha

Wtf? Were you driving through Jane and Finch? Sounds like you had a one off...

I've gotten into some odd situations on my motorcycle similar to what you described - even had someone walk up to my bike at the lights and rev the engine (thank god I was in N).

I'm confused why everyone so surprised by this? You've got like 95% of the population with zero net worth that is duped into paying never ending debts off, 4.5% of wealth earned through hardwork and the rest .5% leeching off of those 95% with predatory financial practices(deflation and compound interest). So of course you'll have unexpected and increasingly negative reactions to visible wealth...

If things ever get really bad in the United States where they declare marshal law. Your Ferrari will never see the light of day. Just pray that day never happens.

Saw a video online recently of "youths" going down the street jumping and lading on their backs on random parked cars....I won't post it because there is a lot of non-politically correct language. Fortunately, the were nabbed by the police.

Made me wonder, if you did catch them...how would you make them pay for the damages?

    Do you live in Thessaloniki?

I have worked for every Cent I have. Not been unemployed for one second during my whole life. My taxes supported about 4 low income familie's social wellfare when I lived in Sweden.

For the first time in my whole working life I took 3 weeks holiday last year. (It was great! Will do the same this year!)

The justice system here will give them a slap on the wrist especially if they have a good attorney. If I could I would send them to Singapore where they would get a public whipping. I bet they would never forget that.

If I caught them, I'd hope that no one saw me catch them, and they'd get a damn good hiding, and then tied up with a video of their confessions for the cops to put them away. The car insurance will pay for the damages

They wouldnt throw anything they own cause they cannot afford to lose it, but many would start stealing stuff just to throw it at u.

Honking on an hypercar with a german flag on it in front of a queue of people cashing what they can from the bank. Wow. Be sure your last will is done though.

OP: Sorry to hear about the incident you've had to endure and I hope if there is any damage to car it is minimal, or better still no damage at all.

Unfortunately you cannot allow for when and where you will encountered these sort of moronic idiots who think they're being clever damaging someone else's property (It sounds as if you've encountered some drunken yob, but there are also plenty of morons who don't require the "Dutch courage" of alcohol to carry out this kind of vandalism).

Sadly, we live in a society today where there is very little respect for other peoples property and people think they're some kind of hero by causing damage to that property (an example of this is the footage on the net of some guy stood on top of someone's 458 urinating on it!), often proudly displaying their "achievement" on the internet to receive admiration and plaudits for their deeds - A case of: "Look at Me! How great am I?"

    As for:

    Two problems with these statements:

    1) So a proportional response to someone causing damage to your property is to shoot them, causing physical injury and possibly the death of another person?

(Based on that theory, I can only assume that a proportional response to you killing someone's family member would be for one of their family to then kill you and all of your family, and so on, and so on?)

    2) In America, there is just as much chance that the perpetrator of the damage to your property may also be carrying a weapon, and a confrontation could result in you spending the rest of your life in prison, or worse still, loosing your life!

I'm not convinced that the sort of retaliation being promoted here is as clever as some seem to think it is! (And yes, I am aware that very few people would ever actually carry out the sort of retaliation that they claim they would! ;) )

Phill, it is the thought that the intended victim might be armed that is a good deterrent.

I find that people are less confrontational in the US compared with countries where the gun is banned outright like the UK.

We have guns in my home country Sweden for sport. Same here. Well controlled in both countries. Works well, just as it did in UK before the total ban.

I guess I'm a more violent a person than I realized. That happened to me in my SC targa I drove in college. Frat boy tossed his red solo cup against my back glass as I was turning through an intersection, near campus.

10 pm at night. I stopped in the middle of the intersection, got out and approached him in the middle of his five buddies. He was brave with his buddies standing around him. In his arrogance he stepped back with his arms held wide, chin up, chest exposed.

Without hesitation, I executed a step-forward 360 degree back kick into his chest. He landed several feet back on the ground, completely breathless. His buddies stood frozen with their mouths open.

    I simply growled, "Anyone else?"

They did not know they were dealing with the collegiate national champion in taekwondo. Men's heavyweight division.

Now I'm in my 40's with a couple of Ferrari's & Lamborghini's added to the mix, I can't imagine changing one bit. I would use a more painful technique, maybe.

I worked very hard, very smart, for a very long time to have what I have. I so resent the attitude of these wacko liberal, entitled communist, ****** bags that I have a rather visceral reaction to them.

If that guy had hit my Ferrari with a bottle, I would make certain my response would cause him to caution others against that course of action, again.

Those types of people are idiots. They only learn through immediate consequence, like any animal. So teach them accordingly!
