    both seats $4-5K
dash (both upper/lower, to match the redone seats (otherwise fade dash and new seats won't match)) $4K

I think it's the Ferrari tax (even at an indie). I think it takes total of 20man-hours to do this. (I can't imagine it to take longer but could be wrong as I have no idea what I"m talking about). That works out to be $500/hour. Even at 40man-hour it's still $250/hour.

here are two almost brand new seats for twice the price of redoing them. benefit is you have spare seats. Ferrari F131 F360 Challenge Stradale Racing Carbon Seats Red Alcantara | eBay

Removing the dash is time and money consuming. See if the dash can be dyed in place. In the past, I was able to do this with the faded dash on my Daytona with black Rit dye and it came out well. Material is different but what do you have to lose?

the ears are fine. The stuff between the ears doesn't work so good at times. At least that's what the wife said.

Asked about dyeing the dash to keep the factory alcantara. Apparently it can't be done due to "the red thread". No other reason given. I think I'd rather have factory alcantara with dyed threads than new with correct color thread. Not sure....

If it makes you feel any better, this is what it costs to redo an interior. That's what I'm paying also it's not for a Ferrari.

It is possible to do both. I drive mine and I take care of it. It's not like it's one or the other. It's not my only car.

I treated the dash with Leathereque Rejuvenating Oil. It's not like new but a night and day improvement in removing the fading.

I believe the dash is natural suede, not Alcantara like the seats and lower dash. The sun dries the leather and it fades.

Is the suede behind the drivers seat in the rear window sill Alcantara & are there any easy ways to restore color?

Yes, you are so right. Funniest part is 5:24 - 6:00 when he opens the windows in the tunnel and floors it. They look so happy and it cracks me up every time :)

I really feel lucky to own one...what a car!

Fun to watch these two guys truly enjoying a Stradale :) I feel lucky to own one also!

As good as the Stradale sounds listen to this 458 Speciale with a modified exhaust. The first 90 seconds is a little hard to watch because the driver revs the crap out of the engine, but after that just watch and listen...especially the aggressive downshifts. My Speciale currently has the stock exhaust, but I'm seriously considering replacing it with the Frequency Intelligence exhaust in this video!

I think the general feeling is that once it fades, it is what it is. It's a live with or replace.

As for that video, you have to love their enthusiasm for the car. But that is what a CS does..... it puts a big smile on your face!

Hey Andrew just wanted to thank you for the help you gave me while chasing my CS goal. Alas it was not to be as my $ is tied up elsewhere and for much too long as it turns out.
But with what I had liquid DID manage to acquire my other favorite car from that era and it was delivered today.
    The 996GT2.
IMO different cars with the same spirit and both still far underappreciated.
