    I agree with you but other stripe designs slowed down production time which wasn't an option for me. I went with the smaller T-shape standard stripe as an alternative. I wanted to have a stripe that was specific for the 458SA since it could be a classic one day.

    I actually think it is a good compromise. He probably did not want shields at all but then if you do that it can be a reseale problem. Next best thing order with shields and put a body color vinyl on them ar least thend your can reverse themail back to stock. Better than sacrificing resale value IMHO.

    Going with the same stripe on my Aperta - but also continuing over the windscreen frame - I'm surprised that's not included in the standard stripe but is an EC option. Mine will be Titanio and the stripe TDF Blue which, apparently matches the blue 3D fabric in the seats!

    The stripe over the windscreen frame certainly looks good with the roof up, it flows very well. But with the roof down it looks a bit awkward and out of place which is probably why the factory decided not to have it as part of the original. I played around with having the top windscreen done but in the end decided to leave it as I though it looked better overall without.
