Very nice short movie from Kidston about LP400 => Kidston - The Worlds Most Expensive Countach Reveals All
very nice indeed but I sometimes wonder what is the point to have a car test driven and blanced to perfection when it does not log 100 miles per year.
For my part, I often wonder why the owner of any Countach would not want it kept that way, regardless of mileage driven.
The ex-Silvera LP400 Speciale as tuned by Giampaolo Dallara and sold by Joe Sackey Classics LLC made a homecoming trip back to Sant Agata in the recent past. The Villa D'Este award-winning LP400 seems to get better with age, and is much-enjoyed by its enthusiast owner. Image Unavailable, Please Login
That is a neat video. The mirrors (or the style) is fairly common & usually on British cars. Bullet Mirror Brushed Aluminum Flat
Great Countach, Joe, and sorry to miss you at Goodwood. Last time I was at the factory, I made a point of photographing my Espada (please excuse it appearing in this fabled Countach thread) next to the original Lamborghini office entrance. Think it makes for a more memorable picture location than the impressive (but rather featureless) modern Lamborghini buildings.. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I came by, but of course you were nowhere to be found! No worries, next time, and I'm sure you were having fun. And your Espada is welcome anytime!
Just saw on eBay tonight. 1985 Sidedraft car. $559,500.00. Although with an "ELA" VIN, I think its supposed to be 1984. Lamborghini Countach | eBay Mike
It's definitely a 1984, max till summer 1984, since after vacation the 1985 VINs would start. ZA9C00500ELA12743 is the VIN, no dot/epa, european muffler. For 20k miles the steering wheel looks heavily worn.
You see this often. The explanation I have come up with is that a professional photographer took the pictures. Someone with little real interest in the subject....although I'm sure they spent time working the photos over.
I just scanned a few pictures that I took of Michael R's Series II Countach #1121226 at the Bayside Expo Center in Boston Massachusetts in the early 90's. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

15 inch !! ?? i seem to recall the fronts were preproduction urraco 14's well they had 15 inch xwx in 205 and 215 back then already. both bora's and boxers ran with 15 inch xwx.
The front end does sit a little high on the LP400S S3 and the LP500S, but I think the effect of this is exaggerated because the car is sitting up on a turntable. As has been said, no engine images, and no images of the seats themselves. As Raymond points out, the steering wheel looks very dried out, as if the car sat in the sun for extended periods, and the tarnished/burnt Route OZ wheel stickers support this notion. One thing I do like about this car very much is, here is a rare Countach with no post-production body molestation or modifications. No side-markers, strange valances, add-on bumpers and augmentations of varying quality, it remains as it was built by the works and that's a really good thing.
