A friend of mine just bought an Austin Healy 100M in need of restoration. Does anybody know of an Austin Healy restorer in Southern California like OMGJON restores Dinos?
    Thank you in advance!

No personal experience, but Kurt Tanner is a well known (and as far as I know, well regarded) restorer of the Austin Healey marque.

I googled him. Looks like he could be the guy for the job. Thank you very much.

    Monte,

Thanks for the referral. I have used them in the past. Great work, but in my opinion, not "not cheap". I thought they were very expensive......and that was years ago. I can't imagine what they charge now.

You could also look into British Car Specialists up in Stockton. I've had healeys for 40 years and know the cars well. Very knowledgable but not cheap. I had them do some extensive work on my 100 a year ago. it was a long tow up to Stockton from SoCal but I would do it again

Antique Auto Restoration in Monterey, CA (Seaside). Not LA, but do top-rated work, know AH's every well, and have an oddly wide range of expertise (most shops seem to specialize in one thing). And somehow owners of huge dollar cars and much more modest cars can afford the place. And, also unlike LA, no big egos, or slimly con-artist types at the helm. And they do everything –*mechanical, paint, etc. –*under one roof. They are working on a AH 3000 for me that was a blatant, shameless scum/scam sale from Auctions America last year.
