Ehhhh. Superchargers ad whine sound. While they don't muffle the exhaust they do affect induction noise. They also won't help in the emissions tests or be ideal for such a small engine.
Couple reviewers called it the best car ever and the Internet echochamber picked it up and now just repeats it like parrots. F40 sucks as a street car.
If you want sound then ask Ferrari to pump it through your speakers like other mfg's do. You won't know the difference from the driver seat
While superchargers in some cases do 'whine', the supercharged engine in the Cadillac CTS V does not exhibit that sound like supercharged hot rods do

Many are disappointed that's very true - But going forward Ferrari have decided to go TWO separate paths Turbo 8's and NA V-12's which in the next gen will be hybrid.SO customers That have to have the sound can get V-12 and those who think a more playful car handling wise is worth the sound sacrifice can buy the rear mid engined cars - That's my take on it
But V12 doesn't have mid-engine. I don't know why recently I have been watching many Aventador videos on youtube now. LOL.
LaFe don't count cuz 90% of Ferrari's owner base are Not Allowed to buy it So as far as I'm concerned it might as well have a jet engine in it
Ferrari will not build regular mid-engine V12 because it would hurt prestige of limited series, also they would have hard time to sell turbo 488 if V12 version would be not much more expensive
That one doesn't count. Unless you want to take out $2 million premium. We are the 3rd grade customers. That's for the 1st grade customers.
