My recent 430 purchase has a tool kit where some of the wrenches have some surface rust. Any recommendations on how to remove it?

Try household vinegar. May take a few days soaking.
But mild and no harmful fumes/chemicals....

"Kroil" would probably work well. Soak the rusty area for a day or two and then rub off with burlap or a shop cloth. Kroil is often used to remove surface rust on firearms without damaging the original blued finish.

Head over to the garage journal forum. Post what it's made of and you will get the correct answer

I found that forum when I was rebuilding my home after a hurricane and those guys are smart, helpful and on point. Someone on these knows what you need to fix, replace or buy.
