Common problem. Make sure you cut the area where the hose clamps are. Pulling on them will rip off the aluminum nipple.

is it leaking or only droping?
when the engine runs or stops?
easy to find when you have a hoist.
if the return line leaks be careful when removing as peter already told

I'd be very careful with that. The fuel lines, return lines and the vents are all along there and go up to the injection system, fuel tanks, etc. If it is fuel do not start the car as it is flammable and the leak can be on anything. These fuel lines dry rot and leak. Check and see what it is on the ground and maybe we can tell you what to try next. These are all accessible from the ground if the car is on a lift. Not easy to get to but you can do it,

I had a similar leak that was traced to one of the fuel pumps (externally mounted).
A seam in the case of the fuel pump was leaking.

At the same time I noticed the cross over hose and supply hoses were rock hard and ready to crack.
They were replaced with the Silicon/Nomex hoses from Scuderia Rampante.

Mine did the same thing, spent an afternoon chasing and replacing fuel lines, fixed it.

    Good luck!

Right on. The pumps are built like coke cans and seem to leak at the crimp. Mine occurred over a winter hibernation when I lost almost an entire tank of fuel. Anyway, pumps are cheap but a pain to change if you don't have a hoist.
