Attended the presentation today by Ferrari HQ Product Manager- technical slides were followed by a film in 3D of the car lapping Fiorano (1min:21), as well as close ups of the car design features. I can confirm most details as posted by those that have seen the car (eg. Elipinski) including 780 HP and 4WS to improve speed through bends (not facilitate parking!). Very aggressive looking design - all have an intended role from an aerodynamic perspective - twice the downforce of F12 at speed. PM stated that the sound we were hearing on the film were of the actual car - amazing visceral exhaust with a trad v12 sound that will make everyone happy - no debate there. Launch color same as Speciale Aperta - Triple Yellow. Really does look amazing in that color which shows off the CF and other unique design elements. Will not be launched at Frankfurt, but month after in October at a stand alone event. No more than 800 cars to be produced. Put my order in after building on the dealer's configurator. Similar to Spec Aperta, plenty of CF standard on the car. Major options I ticked were front lift, F/R cameras, CF outer sills/headlight surround/rear fog, and passenger display. 1 year production run starting Sept. Now the waiting begins....

Thank you for the update. Looking forward to hearing more about the October event. This means Frankfurt is probably reserved for the 488 GTS then...

Anything on a name or was the car presented as F12 (F152) VS / V12 LE?

    Many thanks for the update.

Can you confirm what a reasonably specced car comes out at?

Also, is the interior a la Speciale, stripped out with CF door panels, dash etc all as standard?

I suspect you are right on the 488 GTS. Was referred as the F12 "New Limited Series" on the slides and config. Short Wheel Base and Lightweight were also commonly used terms on the slides. Name will be unveiled at launch.

Aussie prices are in a different world but after ticking all the boxes I wanted came to approx $86K AUD. Total out the door approx $950K AUD! Could have easily added another $20K plus if started to replace alcantara with leather, and JBL upgrade which did not appeal to me. Standard CF Interior as per LaF and Aperta - (Matte not gloss) CF door panels, dash, Steering wheel, centre console etc. Only CF option for interior is rear parcel shelf, and air vents.

The "gear" in the gearbox suggests that this is some sort of apparel sale or something like that. I doubt it´s related to this car.

No demo car and I have no pictures so only recalling by memory. Only one set of new style forged wheels that is unique to this car available in three colours - standard alloy, matte black or diamond polished - they look great. Two seat styles available-similar to Speciale racing seat offering and a daytona style. Standard interior is essentially like Speciale - lots of alcantara which can be replaced with optional leather-again similar to Speciale.

A rough conversion puts that very close to the 400k Euro price mentioned earlier

Is the design similar to the renderings posted earlier in this thread?

I was due to visit the factory next week but delayed to September due to the production lines being closed down. I was told it was for maintenance. However yesterday at an FOC event I was informed from a reliable source that in fact there is a special series of cars being developed, the F12 GTO.

I dont want to give my source as I was told its all very hush hush. Has anyone else heard mutterings about this?
