But Cain clearly has a massive issue with altitude change. I wonder if he'll be granted an immediate rematch, but I'd like to see it.

Anyone else happy that Mendes is in for Aldo? Let's see how CM does against the #1 before he gets a crack at Aldo.
And how bout the UFC turning into a clown posse and making up the rules as they go along by making it an interim title fight? WTF? Undefeated Champ gets hurt 3 weeks before a fight and that is how they respect him? Other champs can go over a year without a fight and there's no interim. Seems like the UFC is doing their best to try to coronate CM as the new champ asap. UFC is like F1...the more you watch it lately the more disgusted you get.

I'd bet it has more to do with billing this as a double title fight card for many months than artificially propping up Conor. Remember it is their Fan Fight Week or whatever it is. I could be wrong, but Conor holding the belt does nothing for the UFC. What's the UFC's benefit of Conor being champ versus being a challenger? His popularity won't change. People love or hate him.

I was really looking forward to Aldo/McGregor, but Mendes stepping in should be quite good as well. They can call it whatever they want, an interim belt really means nothing. I don't feel it is disrespectful - it's just a way of saying that the winner is next in line for a shot. It does suck for Edgar though, because he should have been the one to step in, IMO.

Should have been Edgar. He'd wipe the floor with McGregor. As it stands, I think Mendes will be quite a challenge for McGregor.

I'm pulling for Mendes. Vegas has Mendes as a slight underdog. I think may have to put some money down.

Mendes looked completely gassed by the end the second. I think with a full camp, he could have won since he clearly dominated on the ground and looked really good on his feet in the first round and a half. Nonetheless, credit where credit is due, McGregor kept his head, weathered the storm, and capitalized on Mendes' weakness. Job well done, but I want to see them go at it again!

Great night of fights. How often do you see TWO flying knee KO's!?!? McDonald vs. Lawler was epic. I had the fight even going into the fifth, but the official cards had Rory up 3-1. Rory's hands looked great for most of the fight, but Lawler's heart and grit were too much. He wasn't going to be denied.

One of the best cards EVER!
I think Mendes's adrenaline got the best of him before the fight even started. He was gassed during the first round. Give credit to McGregor though, He IS the real deal. I think Aldo better train a lot on takedowns and BJJ submissions. That is how McGregor will be beat.
Lawler looked sharp. Boring first 2 feeling out rounds, but boy did it get going!!!!
A lot of GREAT fights:pickett vs Almeida was amazing, Stephens vs Bermudez was a GREAT fight. How about Matt Brown!!!

Faber was too funny, checking himself out in the mirror every 5 seconds while warming himself up before the fight. Conor McGregor is the man.

I cannot believe Brown was on the undercard.

Great event, no doubt. I thoroughly enjoyed as well.

UFC overload going on. I DVRed the event last night (Sunday), and there is another on Wednesday, and then again Sunday. That is 4 events within 8 days........!

I think he will, it'll be a tough battle. I don't quite think he's a 2-1 favorite like the odds makers.

Mir decks Duffee in what - 73 seconds? I was once on the Duffee bandwagon, seems kind of a gatekeeper at best if Mir can do that. Total respect for Mir - I'm not really a fan, but he's still hanging around...

I'm really not a fan of Mir, But I have to say, He has been looking well lately. Perfect punch with 260lbs behind it. That punch would have dropped a horse!

Dillashaw is an animal! Loved watching Filthy Tom Lawlor's come back - made up for the snooze fest that was Caraway/Wineland.

Anyone really want another Tate/Rousey tussle? Meh...

Yeah, great night of fights overall. We were a lot closer than I expected. One of the ushers told us they moved the ring from the center of the arena this year. It was positioned more towards one of the ends, which just happened to be to end we were sitting on. Great seats.

    Not this soon, no.

I like how Rousey is looking right past Correia...........I hope Correia kicks her ass! (no, am not betting on it!)

    My prediction...
Correia doesn't have a CHANCE against Rousey. 1 round fight! (remember, i'm NEVER right)
Probably the easiest opponent Rousey has faced. Trust me Dan, I hope you right. I'd love to see Correia Kick her fat ass!

I cannot say I have seen Correia fight much, but from what I have seen, she's like a female version of Diego Sanchez, where she is just really aggressive offensively. Not very technical, but just swings for the fences while she eats punches to do so. I can easily see Rousey just sidestepping all of that and taking her to the ground immediately, and then we all know what happens from there. It would be very interesting if Rousey stands up for a bit......
