I should have added the second one when the price was 150-160K....I should have listened to you!! Anyway, I just ordered a Porsche Cayman GT4, and a 488...they will have to fill in for that mistake..

because the price of CS has reached a permanently high plateau...

I've been researching a lot of older sports cars lately and I don't think CS's have appreciated nearly as much as most others (Porsches). Granted, the CS isn't as old as all the Porsche's that are going through the roof but there are a lot more Porshe's. I'm not sure what to think.

Bought this 10 years back and decided I wanted something new-er. Sold it 3 years ago and regretted it ever since. Worse car decision I've made.

    true true

figured you'd know it, it's from your area

appreciation in terms of pure percentage or total dollar value?

    me too. actually, wish I would've bought a 98 993 C2s when I had the chance.

beautiful! love them air cooled cars, especially wide body 993's. yummy.

You have a companion in "worse car decision I've ever made" category.....me. Never should have sold my Stradale. Bought a Scud and now have to learn from that experience and not sell it for a McLaren that has my eye. Must.......stay.......strong..........use....intelligence......not.....whimsical....desire.........lol

Stra-dale-lama told you not to sell that CS. ;) Now I'm telling you don't trade that Scud for Mac.

Great car that 993 twin turbo. I had a black one with grey interior "in period". I think I traded it for a blue tdf and tan 355 spider.

    Greath thread,
I aquired a CS about 3 years ago but have not been very active on the forum since then. I have researched a couple of things here and it is an excelent resource.

As I mentioned in an individual post I started yesterday I have made a good effort to keep my car in good condition but as all CS’s it has its small details here an there.

My project list is to source original Ferrari CC breaks as when I bought the car it had been retrofited with Brembo steel racing brakes to keep mantainance costo low for track day use.
Sticky air vents and buttons are now starting to show.
And faded alcantara…. Any suggestions on how to clean it?
Any advise or any recomendations to prevent any major mechanical issues would be greatly appreciated.

Apart from that my I love it, I have owned other Ferraris in the past but definitely this is my favorite although there are nicer more modenr cars out there this one does it for me at least Ferrari wise.
I no longer track my car as much as in the past particularly because of the increase in price for this cars.
I do how ever take it out for a couple of laps just to have some fun. I have a couple of other track toys now that allow me to get more serious as to restore my CS close to its original condition when it came out of the factory.
My car is an early production model if I’m not mistaking.
Here is a recent photo of it… by the way the white one is the one I’m using more on the track.

Here's another kicker....I was offered a Stradale 4 years ago for $125k, one owner, less than 3k miles, full service history, dealer maintained and I hemmed and hawed over it thinking the cars would dip in the $110k range in another year and boy was I wrong. Both cars went up BIG time! So, keep the Scud and get the Mclaren when those hit their bottom.

Thanks. Great cars with the raw 6spd and air cooled engine.

Night Blue Metallic with Grey Interior. Upgraded ECU, turbos, intercooler, suspension, pushing 575 RW. Bought it for $67k.

Hi there are about 3 other CS in Mexico not including mine...
Mine is a US Spec and I did shipped it to Mexico several times for track events. I actually had it there several months in a row.
My car now is in Austin most of the year to enjoy it in COTA and hill country :)
