Hello everyone. I am delighted to know the presence of AMR lover in this Chat. This is the Last of the Factory Brochure. ** In my Opinion, New car > BBR, Old car > AMR. 60s'Ferrari likes AMR! ** Regards, Kamegorou. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I handbuilt close to 100 of these for private collectors and myself... Very cool, some time would have the song he was listening to on the inside of the floor plate! I have a few factory but took them off the plates as they look better on glass and I am a collector that had intentions of ever reselling them. I am sure someday my wife will sell them for 25 cents each at a garage sale!
Older amr's are nice, especially if you have the old kits built by specialist builders of today. Seen some amazing models over the years that surpasses the quality of the old factorybuilts by "miles" there is whole new trend going on at the moment based on these old kits. Its like bbr, I prefer the older models. Making a perfect models is farely easy these days, making a model come to live and have the right "feel" is something Ruf was a master in. If anybody is interested I have a BBR book (have 2) that covers the early days of bbr on offer. Its called Il grande Piccole and covers production from the start uptill 1995. Have been waiting for the second book since 1998... still waiting.... ;-)
Hello everyone! I alone in Japan, because the Internet also was not, it was very hard. (Difficult to obtain those overseas.) And I have spent the entire fortune in Real car. All of Art Evans stuff is great...kind of a scrap book style. I have a photo he took, of Phil Hill racing Caroll Shelby, signed by both drivers...RIP
Back to books! Just received a copy of "Gilles Villeneuve - A Life in Pictures" I can only say what a great book. Beautifully produced with great photos, nice large format, and interviews with people who knew Gilles and were there at the time. A worthwhile addition to any collection IMHO. 191pgs. Text in Italian & English, and only $75! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Not, strictly speaking, a Ferrari book but certainly Ferrari interest, both pre-war and post-war. Another great book from Giorgio Nada - Mille Miglia - A Race in Pictures. Some nice bits coming up at this Friday's Bonhams Festival of Speed Auction including a copy of Ferrari in Camera but this is taking my fancy... Bonhams : Chris Nixon: Rivals; a rare deluxe limited edition leather bound book in presentation case, ((Qty)) Paul
This I believe is the same book. I reviewed this in a previous post.If this is,or is not, your area of interest it is still a great and unique volume with a lot of interesting behind the scenes stories. You can buy at least a dozen of these for the price of "Rivals...".Of course if you really must have polished stainless and leather.......! tonga's crew
Thanks for posting that, Nathan. Giorgio Nada probably thanks you too, as I promptly found a couple hundred Euros worth of other "must haves" on their homepage alone...
Ferrari in Camera sold for £1,250 ($1,970) Rivals sold for £4,250 ($6,690)...which I believe to be good value given that some have traded hands for around £10,000. Paul
Back in January 2002, when I bought my copy of the Rivals book in the gas tank type box I paid GB P £ 4'000. Mine is #40. Marcel Massini
Hello, Enthusiasts. When I had to research the Ferrari alone in Japan, It was difficult to find This Book. * Why, This [1994 edition] Only is Rare ??? * GT. Kamegorou. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I bought this some time in 2005. I have this listed at the time with a value of $1300 which means I probably paid less than $1000. tonga's crew
This is the story that I heard about the rarity of this book. IIRC the German GP 1994 was Ferrari's first win for about 4 years, and sponsor Marlboro bought most of the print run to give away in celebration. Nathan
Mr. Nathan, Thank you for Teachings. Also in this field, being influenced by the Tobacco Industry! I bought up to V12 of 1995. For me, the last of Ferrari F1 is "412T2". GT. Kamegorou.
This is my rare 250 GT SWB Spider California hardcover book by Galleria Publishing. Very hard to find anywhere. I bought it new back in 1997 and is still in excellent condition. Stunning car and lovely book. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I bought this back in 2008 from the Ferrari Store and it didn't disappoint. It is filled with facts and figures and stunning archive photos and drawings on every Ferrari produced out of Maranello. As I mentioned in the 308 section Mr Fioravanti will be the guest of honor at our lunch in August to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the 308. I will be receiving a personally autographed copy of the book from him at the function.
