USA-based 4.0 RS collected at Stuttgart on Touring plates. FWIW, I am aware of a black 4.0 RS with @ 150 miles that has changed hands in the USA circa $700k. Clearly these are chasing after the stratospheric $1m CGT and $1.5m 918 numbers. Image Unavailable, Please Login

The 997 RS's color palette (Greens, Oranges, Blues) appears to be inspired by the iconic Porsche Rennsport posters of the 60s & 70s. Good ideas here for PTS. You read it here first: I have it on good authority that the much-vaunted Utraviolet RS will cease to exist in the fall of this year. I received a communication this morning from a trusted source: "Starting from October 2015, Porsche Ag will be only producing GT3RS in three colors - OQ White U2 GT Silver Metallic H2 Lava Orange" This means an Ultraviolet RS will be as rare as, well, say the proverbial Fabergé Egg Perhaps the faithful will take note. Sadly, Porsche Ag's design department did not bless the new RS with a graphics decal scheme which past generations of RS cars became so famous for. However, a Porsche Ag insider advises me of the following options: "Martini Racing (available ex-factory for the GT3 RS via CXX) decal set with MARTINI logo and decorative strips on the bonnet and decorative strips on the roof, rear wing and side skirts." and "Motorsport PORSCHE (available ex-factory for the GT3 RS via CXX) decal set including the PORSCHE logo on a decorative strip on the bonnet. The decorative strip extends over the roof to the rear wing, PORSCHE logo on the side skirt. Available in different colours."

The legendary 4.0 RS can lap the Nürburgring faster than any manual-gearbox Porsche ever built by the works, that's crazy to think about. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hey Joe, Have you been tracking values of 10/11 3.8 RS's. Curious what real world values are. Thanks!

I pay attention to the overall RS market, but unlike my mainstay business (Ferrari Supercars 288 GTO/F40/F50/Enzo) I don't make a science out of it. That said, I'm personally aware of some nice 3.8 RS selling in the $200ks across the range.
