I was curious about this too, since I was following that thread and wondered how it would play out.

I am not reading the prior post, just caught this one. So I believe the 355 is underpriced compared to the other cars. Yes the 993T is hot, air cooled etc. But 308s, 328s, TRs, 355s, 348 Challenge, and 348 Speciales are all moving up I think, and all have except the 348 and 355s. Although it appears they are starting to move.

In Hong Kong today where there are only a few F355 available but a large stash are in collections. Asking prices are over 130k USD equivalent for an immediate sale within one phone call... I know it is a different market but it is part of the global equation as these cars age and become very sought after. And migrate easier. Prices are higher in UK and Australia where buyers from those countries try to find cheaper cars in HK to flip in the other RHD markets.

The Ferrari of HK dealer says to hold pat on the cars if possible as they notice they are going no where but up.

I'm enjoying the heat and humidity...

    Best.

Looks like he spun out at high speed...probably wet road and kissed the wall/barriers while doing so.

Airbags only deploy under high g-force impacts. That car definitely spun around at high speed. The aerodynamics worked!

My car is visiting a dealer for annual inspection this week and unsolicited I was offered $80k. Mine is a '98 Red/Tan GTS 3-pedal, w/ 25xxx miles. Well kept condition, but not perfect. Major due next year. If they out of the blue offered that, they know the selling price is in the $90s easily. I politely declined...it would take 6 figures before I'd even consider parting ways with it. And that would hurt my heart!

The 355 is a modern classic in my opinion and I'm sure many others would agree.

I see so many users on this forum kicking themselves for selling their old Ferrari's for peanuts relative to what they are now worth. I'm not saying the 355 is necessarily that car, but as time progresses and more people around the world hop on board the Ferrari ownership wagon, the 355 will stick out amongst the rest.

It is arguably one of the best sounding Ferrari's ever made, and it's also the first F1 transmission Ferrari produced. Based on the fact that no one (err...not enough people) want their cars with a manual transmission anymore, I'm betting the 355 F1 will be a highly sought after classic Ferrari in the near future.

Don't get carried away with the manual transmission not being wanted. There are many that will not buy cars that don't offer them and Porsche is bringing them back simply because of that.

Yep I agree!!! I'm a driver for sure.

3 of my Ferrari's are manual transmission. 2 are Challenge cars.

My Camaro is automatic and so is my diesel truck.

Only F1 I would take is the newer 458 version

FYI, there is no F1 ECU's being made or repaired so when it does brake your SOL. Been down that road.

    :)

I'm not saying the manual is not wanted...but there is no denying the demand for F1 is FAR greater than manuals.

As for the ECU's and the lack of parts to service them, I'll give you that. The technology to create a standalone unit to control the actuator already exists though...so I'm not worried. I couldn't be happier with my F1 and don't see myself going back to a manual ever again for any modern car.

The 355 F1 is awesome. No doubting that. The first ever F1 Ferrari, with a much more driver engaging action than the later F1 cars.

However, to claim that manual cars (not just the 355s) don't comand a premium in today's market is just silly.
