Yup, my first drive in the 3.0 turbo was very enjoyable. Easier to drive than the 3.3 and has better "feel". My mechanic doesn't like Boxsters either and I just bought one. It is a damned fun car and I should have gotten one sooner!

A repeat but this same '75 Turbo with an excellent demo of the hand throttle when it was for sale in Australia...

I hadn’t noticed that someone added RoW rear bumper reflectors?

Sorry, just realised it's up on day 2 of the auction, so Saturday. The auction house has a live feed, should be interesting...

Porsche styling department may have started with actual Scottish Chief Tartan patterns and then slightly modified the names and patterns for production. The three Tartans available for the 3-liter Turbos were Green (Black Watch), Red (McLaughlan), and Beige (McKenzie). The patterns show in this 1975 Official Tartan map show that “Maclachlan” is very close to Porsche’s McLaughlan whereas “Mackenzie” is closer to Porsche’s Black Watch than beige McKenzie.

iDart you never cease to amaze.

On another note: just returned from a nice drive in #470 despite the sweltering heat here in NJ. Fuel gauge went wonky, registering zero sometimes, then 2/4 tank. However the reserve light was on. Decided that discretion was the better part of valor and pulled into a Sunoco. Added 20.95 Gal. oops. I guess I need new sending unit. I think capacity is 21.1...

PS: hilarious how the turbo dislikes this heat! boost takes forever to arrive and when it does, it's weak...

Even a modern GT2 RS does not like the heat.

    Hello together,

did anybody follow up the auction results of "california" last weekend?
There were 2x930 in the auction and I would be interested what they got auctioned for.

    Regards, cal

    Hi,
I have looked back through this thread and can't find the post... I think someone on here had the turbo decals that are applied to the side of the cars and also the rubber bump stops that are either side of the rear 1/4 panels to stop the rear lid rubbing on the paint.
    Can someone help with this?
    Rgds,
    Sean.
