In my links above, there are 17 non-Annivesarios, of which 4 are QVs, so there is fair representation of all the variants.

Hm, qv s represent aprox 30%of total production, in terms of cars for sale they represent aprox 15 % give or take a few, all good

If you've followed the market for several decades you'll find that the mix of variants is always in flux, for a range of reasons. There was a time in the not-too-distant past when most of the cars on the market were QVs. There are generally more Annivesarios available because more were built, followed by QVs, and then the side-draft carb cars.

The point is, for the most part the mix of variants available on the market at any given point, is purely coincidental, and you can't deduce much of anything from it, other than demand being met by (most prolifically-produced) supply.

Good point.i was simply refering to status quo, wich clearly puts the qv on the bottom of the nmbr of cars listed for sale.

I havent watched as long as you, but since 2010 it's always been that Anni's are plentiful and sit on the market for a while. The law of supply and demand doesnt seem to apply to them, as they are often priced higher than QV and 5000S even though there's way more available.

Incorrect, there are less LP400 (3) for sale than QVs (4), for example.

    True.

This means price must come down, as with any economic scenario where supply exceeds demand.

That's a good thing for buyers.

It's 10%. I was there and I wasn't sure what price the owner wanted but he only dropped the reserve after the 327.5 bid was in and it was a late drop. So worth noting.

It is very likely that the auctioneer placed numerous bids on behalf of the seller until they reached his reserve or that general area. Then worked to hook up the buyer at that value. As I have stated many times previously, an auction is really just a fast paced negotiation. But I totally agree it is a very note worthy point! It's not like there were fights over getting to that figure as i understand it.

Pure speculation on my part since I did not watch, hear, or see the sale.

The reasons don't matter at all. The market spoke and the Countach market, although maybe slowing down, has not yet crashed.

IMO, this latest Auction sale does two things....

    1) Confirms for some buyers that are sitting on the fence to bid safely and to or near this amount for the reaming cars coming to auction in Monterrey this August, (and there are quite a few 89 cars that are).

    2) Shows that there was at least still ONE buyer out there for these cars. I still think the 89 cars have more buyers out there, just have yet to get to their time in life to buy, in another 5-7 years, I think you will look back and say..remember when the 89 car was ONLY $327K

Yes, correct. That figure includes the auction fee for the buyer.

While on vacation I found a nice Swiss, red over tan 85 DDQV without a wing for sale near my hotel. Usually my Countach radar works, but my wife spotted it in the window of the small shop.

Full service history, one owner, 8,000 km, all books and records.

I did not want to seem presumptuous by photographing it in the dealer's shop, but they can be found a AUTODROME Cannes Pagani Lamborghin Ferrari iautomobiles classiques, sportives et de collection. The proprietor is a nice fellow who loves the marque, I am certain he can send pictures of you are keen.

€650,000 if you are in need of one.

Nice find John, Automdrome Cannes has only a small front window, it's not easy to get there, you can't just stop on that road.
Perhaps you can find out the VIN? I wasn't able to find the car liasted as for sale on their webpage.
