their final offer to me is 120k USD, should I take it?

mileage is 19500 km. I can fire up the car, but I didn't know if there's any other issue

to my eyes there's no body damage anywhere except the front bumper chips

car's been raced all its 19500km, not a km of road use.

    Anyone answer your questions?

Answer is because the car was raced. Both of those modifications were done to 360 Challenge cars. The grill to keep out track debris and rubber and the wire to keep that from un screwing.

ah! so if I bought a challenge stradale and a challenge car, i'd have 4x 360s

is that a little over the head for me? any one owned 4x 360s before?

$120k doesn't sound like a bad deal to me. Like you said, it's very hard to find a CS in China, this might be your last chance to own one? I guess it's not possible to put it on license plates?

Do you need to redo the interior? Not sure if there's any damage/mold inside.

I would sell a 360 and add this CS :)

    I've owned 3x 360s.

    360 Spider 6-speed - hated the car

360 Challenge - race car was fun but I would move up if buying another Challenge car

Challenge Stradale - perfect car. Has everything I ever wanted. Today it is short on horsepower but that's been covered here ad nauseum.

I remember about 2 years ago, while at " The Unit" Romeo was thinking about selling His CS after He took delivery of the 16M. I told Him that the CS would surpass the 16M in value within a couple of years. That might change 5 to 10 years down the road.

    apart from Horsepower and stuff

do you think there's ever a day that a 360 Challenge race car will appreciate in value in maybe 20 years?

I don't think the molds are that serious, no need to redo the interior.

only thing the car need now are 4 tires/all fluids/maybe timing belt

I have no way to know if there's a cel as of now.

they sent me a video clip showing the car started up and revved a little and everything looks good

No, it will never be possible to put a plate on in china.

But it is possible to own a CS in China except this one. just fly to EUrope and buy one and ship it. But I doubt it will be anything under 200k according to the market. sure, the car in hong kong is sub optimal
but.... is it really worth 80k of "sub-optimality"?

no used car is allowed to be plated although you can have private ownership of it. that's the gov policy. i.e. track only.

Let me get this straight; you can buy a used car in China, it just can't be registered and driven on the road. So, the only cars that can be plated and road driven are purchased new.

no, sorry , my bad, let me clarify

You cannot import a more than 1 year old car into China's mainland, for any purpose, except private ownership/decoration/track. This exception will be very difficult from the watchdogs since they won't believe that you won't drive the car on public road. Huge paperwork and headaches anticipated.

You can import any car into Hong Kong, which is part of China and under a different legal/administrative system.

Shipping a car from Hong kong to China Mainland is considered an "import" although it is technically/politically a Chinese domestic trade. Thus the above-mentioned "no-used-car-import" rule applies.

best possible legal way, is to strip my modena and replace all modena parts with the CS part, ECUs, TCU, suspension ECU, all springs, whole engine, everything.

I am not sure if that car will be considered a Challenge Stradale, but bits by bits, it is! And it is road legal with a license plate!

You already own a Modena, but want to drive your new CS on the mainland. An unscrupulous person may say there is obviously a much more straightforward way of doing that....

I'm in the same club. Sold my CS in July of last year, seemingly right before things really took off. Oh well, not the first mistake I have made in my life, won't be the last.
