This segment requires a mandatory 2 liter turbo but I'd be interested in a normally aspirated 6....

    ... with a Maserati Engine

Alfa's target is young Audi and BMW drivers. It's about time someone other than the Germans can make a car that appeals to this market.

Agree, and don't forget the new Jag.... Need a new spider from Alfa to take the fight to the z4, etc....I'm cheering really hard for Alfa, I may pick up a Giulia as the German cars are very common in Westchester but I don't need 510 hp for our over-crowded, poorly maintained roads. Blew out 2 tires in my 3 series this past winter, but the idiots here view road maintenance as an annoyance...

49 yrs old here. Still feel young too. Thinking I would enjoy the 510 hp and the trim package in the photos.

    Hi,

Is it me or with all the new cool offerings, i.e Jag F-type, the new Giulia, C7 Corvette and even the new Shelby Mustang etc etc are we not living in a new golden age of cars ?

    Regards

    Ramin

The Mayor is right. I'm in that demo and if they are able to under cut the M3, I'll be placing an order.

My thinking exactly. Some factory funny money or attractive leases might do the trick for me.

Love the new Giulia and everything so far indicates that it should be a true gem. But like always in North America, the popularity of your car in this segment has as much to do with lease rates as it does with product.

They say the magic number in Canada is 499$ and in the US 399$ for entry level luxury. Having sold Infiniti's and Volvo's, if you were no where near those numbers, people automatically bought German. The marketing, brand power and lease promos that the German three offer are hard to beat these days.

We shall see, but I believe the Giulia will be able to stir up the competition to a much greater extent than Maserati did with the fabulous Ghibili.

I am seeing more and more Ghibilis in the NYC and surrounding area. Will tell you the one person I know who has one looked at ALL the competition and he said it was the best purchase he made. Doesn't see himself coming and going-yet...

I can't tell you how many Ghiblis there are here in South Florida...

The Jag and the Corvette appeal to an older crowd than the Giulia

510 HP and a manual transmission.

What will people whine about now?

Alfa is bringing back driving pleasure and experience. Thank gawd!

Some interior details are similar to the 4c.

WOW! They certainly are breaking new ground with that design.

Hey the Ghibli looks like a lot of other cars too.

Being too different looking doesn't sell enough cars I guess?

I like the quasi retro looking dash, not so techno geekoid looking.

The V6 in the Giulia has nothing to do with the V6 used by Maserati.

    It's a new 90° bank angle V6 derived from the F154 Ferrari/Maserati V8 family.

That's the Giulietta interior (pre-MY2014). The Giulia interior looks very different.
