I drove the Speciale at Corso Pilota in Austin and it was exciting, but it felt too 'computery'

    57491 yet again.

Just look at those Megaphone pipes...

As an aside and unrelated, GTOs are pretty hot right now, we have sold no less than four (4) in recent months this year.

Your tech called me this morning to make sure the paint markings underside and engine bay hoses are 100% "Tutto Originale".

    Joe,

The plating has been done, now to de-yellow. If anyone has high res images of the engine bay of an unmolested car, I sure would appreciate it.

    Thanks,
    Shiv

    Joe,

I grabbed a bunch of your pics from the thread, but it seems that the forum software compresses the images which makes zooming impossible, hence I'm looking for high res originals.

This is nuts! Over one million views? Really! In my regrets book, not buying one in 2001 when they were cheap. I now think it is one of the most beautiful designs ever and it led the way. Speaking of that 308s are still underpriced. Funny, I remember talking to a real expert and asking why the 288s where not more and he said " well, some say they look too much like the 308".

I think certain models are re-discovered and appreciated over time as people come to understand their importance in the Ferrari lineage, and that's what's happened with the 288 GTO.
