Hello Everyone, I'm a Texas resident and have owned a variety of Pcars of the years but secretly wanted a Fcar😊. I have just purchased what I feel is a good introduction to the brand in a 2010 California (blk on blk). I have always modded my previous cars dating back to HS but plan to move a slower in my California. I'm 35 yrs old and have a very hectic schedule especially having a wife as a college bb coach and two boys. When I do get time I enjoy taking the family for a spin in my cars and my boys absolutely love it! This will however be my first convertible so I can't wait to get there reaction. Matt
Congrats!! Enjoy it and drive it!! I have 430 with 44,500 miles. Yes, you read that right. Lol. The car gets serviced every year and runs like a wild banshee. These are like woman they don't like to sit at home.
Welcome to the family! Hoepfully you can make it to this years FCA Regional Event in October! Let us know if we can help with anything! S p.s. You might consider unplugging the exhaust by-pass valves to get some more " sound " from your Cali!
Make the trip up to Dallas for events sometime! ...And be sure to bring Kolaches from the Czech Stop!
Welcome to the Ferrari family and F-Chat. I hope you can make it to some of the DFW Ferrari events. A great bunch of people. Enjoy.
Thanks for all the welcomes. I Make it to Dallas quite often and will definitely be driving the Cali on some of those trips. I should receive it within a couple weeks and will post pics. Any recommendation of a good shop for maintenance in DFW area. Don't think Lubbock is best place for Ferrari maintenance.
If you run across a Ferrari mech in Lubbock, please let me know. There aren't any in the Midland-Odessa area that I have found. Bill
Will do but don't hold your breathe. I grew up in Midland and travel there a couple times a month. Are there many Ferrari owners? What do you own?
I've got a 550. There are a few other Ferraris in town but I rarely see them and don't know their owners.
Bill, I think I have met you before. Long, long time ago (2000). Didn't you own an early 2000's Mustang that you used to run at the drag strip? Matt
I'm afraid not....never did any drag racing, but I do own a 2012 Boss 302 (does that disqualify me from the website...admitting that?) in addition to the 550. In lieu of a mech here I've been doing the DIY bit alongside my airplane mech friends. Also made friends with Brian Crall ("Rifledriver" here on FChat) who has opened his own shop in Austin, so I have somebody I can call at least. He's a good guy, and very knowledgeable.
Old Shep, there's a Boss 302 in the site owner's stable so I doubt you have to worry too much, and being a pilot you're probably already maxing out on brownie points with him
i am from midland and dallas. maybe its time for a meet. Lets organize a midland ferrari meet. My scud is currently in midland this summer
A Ferrari meet sounds good. I might have a reasonably cool place in October, when it is cooler (temperature-wise)....stay tuned. It will be pretty informal. Bill
Unless i am working, count me in. Funny, if i am driving my ferrari, dont see any. If i am driving my other car, sometimes I see 2 cars in a weekend.
