Been hearing multiple rumors of Ferraris next level F12 having the title F12 Speciale. Anybody else hearing this? Hoping it's not the name they go with. :/

Yes it does. Called SSC3 since it needs to incorporate the rear wheel steering geometry etc.

Also meant to ask if anyone knows about the small aero aides apparently on the rear windows?

Yes that is it. Also those wheels I believe (from memory) are the production wheels but in three finishes as per current styles such as Matt black, diamond etc

Side Slip Control. First introduced on the Speciale, then 488 and now F12VS.

Watch the Chris Harris 488 review, it explains it somewhat.

    Excellent, thanks.

Having just driven through Maranello en route to Bologna, I love the way Ferrari happens to drive the "mule" (looks like a showroom-ready car to me inc stripes) right past the main entrance. Presume the blogger was tipped off. Talk about "tease and reveal" marketing, full marks to Ferrari :D

As for the name, I hope they don't call it GTO. I've no axe to grind, I have a 599 GTO and will be in Maranello on 1st September for the VS. Personally I would be happy with something similarly evocative from Ferrari's past. Mind you I thought the name LaFerrari was a miserably cheesy effort when I first heard it so what do I know.

Btw, if you're from Lucca, what a magnificent town you have.

    Ciao.

Love the "angry" bark on the downshifts and the screams at full throttle. Totally my cup of tea. They seem to have it spot on (again) in the sound department. Wonderful :) Well done Ferrari!!

I think simeone who saw the car in person already said the car they saw was yellow and that would be the color of he launch car. Who really knows though...

Google news today says car will be at Geneva and is called Speciale. They have pictures and story.....30 more hp, lighter. Lighter weight panels and glass. O-100km 3 flat; lower top speed due to downforce....suggest about 100k premium over base F12. FWIW

Giallo triplo strato on the private preview car.

Also Rosso fuoco and a shade of blue(not sure the color name) have been finished on the others VS.

That's part of the optical trick they used to make the car look shorter … the SWB theme despite the car having the same wheelbase as the regular F12. If you look at the back end of the TRS you will notice the same (the original one … not the black (now silver one)) with the reworked Lambo back end.

With the black parts finished in CF this will look very good imo. The front end on the car in the video doesn't appear to have the special splitter.

"Blu di lancio" was the blue shade color name
