This looks like a more elegant less boxy and more integrated version?

Just curious, if this turned out to be true, would this get anyone excited? 30hp more, lower top speed and $100k more?

Yes, if the power to weight ratio is better than the SV and on par with the 918, as some reports suggest.

60 sounds better and happily we know that to be true. The thing is you know Ferrari won't release a disappointing car, so probably yes.

It's like saying the GTO has just 50 more HP than a GTB

    Whole different car...

IT would get me excited .. Unfortunately I am not on the list right now...so I guess I will end up being a 2nd owner..
but really like my F12..so this car would be very special... In my opinion.. heck its a special 12 cylinder Ferrari can't get much better..

Not a "whole" different car. A whole different car would be an F12 versus a 599 or 575. The F12 VS is for sure an F12. Its modified but still an F12 and that a GOOD thing! -Best

That sound and design is sublime! Maybe it will only be 10% better than the F12, but I really dig the modification to the rear. That swoopy double crease in the back end of the F12 never impressed me. I can't wait to see it in person

I have also heard it being called speciale. I hope it's not the case.

I honestly doubt that top speed really matters in this day and age. The focus is on the performance and feel way before that type of speed is achieved, which very few have the opportunity to reach anyway.

If this car's feel is an improvement on the F12 it will be a warmly received.

I was thinking that too. Speciale loses its meaning if used too much. It's like saying everything is urgent, then nothing becomes urgent. I think it seems pretty definite that it's not GTO at this point, but a more evocative name, say like Daytona as some have suggested, would be better. I guess as we have learnt with the LaFerrari, however naff the name at the end of the day it doesn't take anything away from the car.

I suppose the name Daytona is now more likely as I assume Chrysler own the rights to the name - remember the Dodge Daytona from the 80's - and as there are all part of the same FCA family (for now) there would be no copyright infringement issues. There is however the question of Triumph motorcycles who sell a model called the Daytona.

I think Speciale would suit this car rather well as it would hark back to the 275 Speciale that followed the GTO as the GT class winner at Le Mans in 1965, but I do agree that it is rather soon after the 458 Speciale.

My dealer referred to it as a "GTO" version, implying that he thought of it that way.

there was a preview at the factory for the South African market and perhaps Middle East countries. Perhaps anyone who attended can give feedback?

You can also see the trick front moustache splitter under the camo. So what we have here is a finished car, albeit in camo, for the first time. Thanks for posting Edvzwet!
