A UK Ferrari owners club member has just taken delivery of this road legal FXX, Absolutely amazing. Did a few laps around Oulton Park today at Carfest North.

Must have been road legal outside of the Uk first, there is no way that would pass an SVA test otherwise, too many sharp edges and lights too low.

    Great to see though :)

    1) What did he do to make it road legal ?
    2) Why didnt he buy a 599XX/FXX K and made IT road legal ? Its much faster than a normal FXX

Germany iirc has a way to turn race cars into quasi road cars. Not sure the specifics but ride hight and lights/signals off the top of my head would need to be addressed. I beleive there is another road legal fxx and a mc12 corsa(German registered) that are both road legal. Not to be confused with the edo comp cars which are road cars (Enzo and mc12) that have been dressed up as their track only equivalents.

After a handbrake was installed in FXX #146360, painted Celeste, it was legalized for road use in Switzerland.
Original owner had "absolutely excellent connections" to the authorities (DMV). That was in January 2007.

I think this car was owned by Hubert Haupt. He owned a road legal black MC12 Corsa a few years back and sold it. Can anyone confirm this?

any idea if he still owns it or has sold it on? If it's been sold is it still road legal? Cheers Marcel you're a wealth of knowledge!

No clue but I'd love to know more about what was done to make them legal. The macri ad says a 4 wheel lift system was installed. I wonder what else is needed. A handbrake like Marcel said seems like a necessary addition.

Well as far as I could see it now has a handbrake to the left of the drivers seat, and there is a button in the centre console labelled "horn" . Big round lights in the rear under the exhausts.

Wouldn't the exhaust have to be modified as well? These things are pretty darn loud.

Once a race car is over 10 years old then it is far simpler to do in the UK, just has to pass what is known is a daylight MOT, so less lights etc. Under 10 years and it is a far more stringent test, even if it's been road registered in another country and under 10 years old then proof is also needed it meets EU conformity rules.

Like anything though, where there is £££££ there is a way :)

Strange idea, the Fxx is not a road car but only for track.
In CH is full of radars, not really cool when you have a Ferrari.
Probably the slowest country I ever seen.

I was wondering if this is a second road legal FXX, because i remember that the only one that i saw a couple of years back was painted in a light blue metallic (Celeste) and it was for sale in Switzerland.

Warning you might want to check your speakers are not on full as this one might blow them.

Zero chance of this car EVER being street legal in NY and probably anywhere in the USA but OMG what a sound. Between an Fxx Evo and a 599XX Evo not sure which would sound more spectacular as the ultimate street toy.

There is nothing spectacular about a dedicated track toy such as a XX car and making it road legal. Their street conterpart (599 GTO, Enzo and LaF) are much better street toys.

With that in mind, I wouldn't mind a street legal MC12 Corsa :D
