A friend of mine has decided to host a Cars and Coffee in Ocean City, New Jersey next Saturday. All info is in the flyer I have included below and am hoping for a good turnout! Food and drink will be provided as well as plenty of parking. Looking forward to everyone's response!

I would suggest also posting in the Pennsylvania section as Ocean City is a summer home destination for a lot of Philadelphians.

Awesome!! An excuse to take the McLaren to our shore house!

Not to derail the thread but I was thinking of storing my MGB and McLaren at our shore home this winter... For those who live there all year round, do you have any problems with vehicle corrosion? Obviously they will be garaged, but I don't want to come back to rusty wheel lugs etc...

    Joe,
We store an SL63 in our shore garage in OC during the winter and have stored other cars during the winter as well. Basically, we usually end up coming down once a month or so all year long, so we will usually take the car out then for a little ride or plug it into a battery tender for the weekend to keep the battery charged, etc. (I know it's crazy but we never like to leave a battery tender plugged in if we won't be at the house for weeks).

What's nice is the roads are really never salted in OC, so it's not bad going for a 45 minute ride down the coast and back. Also, there aren't any potholes to deal with.

Depending on what the wheels/lugs etc are made out of, a thin coat of WD40 may be helpful. We do have a dehumidifier built into the garage that does a great job of keeping the air very dry, I think this is very important.

    Erik
