I have the opportunity to pick up a 348 reasonably cheap. The car runs and drives but could best be described as a tired project. I know these cars aren't cheap to set straight and think this one may be past the point of economic return. At worst its a parts car, how do you guys think I should value its worth?

Surely worth saving, unless it's had all four corners hit and landed on its roof! I mean...there was one on here that had steel bars welded along its length underneath looking like a full sized slot car, and it was still being loved and cherished. With values rising steadily I'd say bring it back to life. As for value I guess it depends what market it was being sold into and what side the steering wheel is on. E.g. Anything over in good old Blighty (UK) is very strong money now (rhd)

Since it's a subjective thing, I'll just ask; what do you consider reasonably cheap? I ask for two reasons. One, I would like to buy a 348 semi-project too within the next year, and Two, my friend just bought a non-running example, that needs tweaks and what not...So, understanding the market for a running, driving "driver" is easy, but these take a little more mental talent.

    Your thoughts on the above?

    Thanks,

    Ken

If you don't buy it please hook me up with the seller so I can take a look. I have threads in the parts and cars section wanting to buy a project / salvage 348 / 355.

I already have a 94 spider project on the way and I need parts. :)

Anyway just for reference the last 3 running but damaged 348s that have sold on Copart and IAAI have sold for $20 to 22k

Also if anybody has any muffler to body mount brackets for the single muffler system, i would be interested. Its the part that has the springs on it.
