I am surprised no one commented on my beautiful 1973 MTD riding lawn mower to the right on my Alfa. I've had that puppy since 12 years old (so 32 years now) and the neighborhood loves to chuckle at me mowing my lawn on that baby. I restored it about 15 years ago and painted it all up. I wonder what she's worth on the open market...

The top 3 of the right most vertical section, and the third from the top of the section to the left of that section.

But that's only because I'm looking hard. Otherwise I'd never know. Good job!

3D printer would probably be the best way to go, particularly for such a small piece.

The smaller piece in the picture was a semi finished segment I did not use. Crimping one side gives you the ability to insert and mount them just like the original. It took few tries to get the thickness correct.

Are you willing to make me one small vertical section?! Happy to comp you. Or if you can tell me what specific tube to order.

    Thanks!

I am thinking about realistic ways to procure a Leonardo tester. I was thinking about a "group buy" whereby people could share it in some fashion. I am thinking about adding Ferrari and Lambo work to my shop that I am launching in KC, but was wondering if people would be interested or think it is a stupid idea to do a shared investment in a tool like this.

Thoughts? BTW, if you are not familiar with the Leonardo, it basically does everything the SD3 does.

PM over your address and I'll send you a section you can cut to length for the piece you are missing.

I would also buy a few aluminum part for the 612 front grille if someone makes them...

I've been contacted by a guy looking at this car for some insights/support...

If I bought this I will be a single man again. My wife would have my license plate changed for REZRCTD to CRUCIFIED.

    Let's compare the two -

    Sleek lines - both
Curves in all the right places - both
    Beautiful looking - both
    Fast - both
    Impeccable pedigree - both
Fun to be with - both
Gets compliments all the time - both
    Maintenance is expensive - both
Can't live without either - both

Geeze, I don't know, this is a toss up! :D

    Then maybe a 456 ;) His and hers :) 1999 Ferrari 456GT/M, 6-speed, 30k miles, Silver / Black
This one is likely less challenging than your 612.

I would love to do another, trust me. Maybe in a year or two!

My wife laughed at the supermodel/ferrari comparison. Especially the one about Ferrari and super-model not talking to you unless you've already got a Ferrari. Priceless!

Holy cow! I just realized my thread is almost to 1,000 responses! That's amazing. Well, I guess I will just be 8 short until I muster up some more content.

I suppose I will post pics of my fuel tank removal and overhaul. And my newly ordered leather key ring holder!

I feel special. 992 responses so far. Only one other thread in the 612/599 section has more!

Or, I am a loser for even noticing and commenting... :(

This guy probably got in all sorts of trouble with his spouse buying Ferraris and attempting to fix them up. It becomes a potential addiction. I'd love to buy another but my wife would literally go shopping for a firearm. She already watches forensic files non-stop and it is making me uncomfortable!

Put in a front camera as well if your head unit supports it. Very handy given how long the nose of the car is.

This is an excellent piece of advice! I have already scrapped up my newly painted, black under-belly work by pulling the damned thing up too far on a curb.

I've got the Kenwood Avic-8000NEX (top of line in 2014) so hopefully it supports one!

Forgive me if you detailed this already, but did you do any audio upgrades other than the head unit? More soundproofing in the door panels, etc.

I only replaced the single DIN head unit with the upgraded double DIN 800 NEX Kenwood. No other mods or soundproofing. I am quite happy with the sound and also the car is very, very quiet, except for the passenger's door or window seal which needs some attention and is causing a wind noise.

    And wow, post # 1000 !!!
