    It says 48/458 which doesn't sound quite right as I thought there are 499 being made!

    Maybe this was something Ferrari planned but did not actually put on the car. I don't think mine has a numbered plaque on it anywhere.

    They have two - one on the wall behind the seat for best engine and one on the central tunnel for limited edition. I'm having the best engine one left off as it doesn't look good and I don't need to be told it has a great engine!!

    We actually had them put the engine plaque lowered on the rear wall and had them embroider the 458 Speciale A logo on the wall where the engine plaque would be.

    It says 48/458. This is not the number of the car, but of my official plaque. When I got my 8C Alfa Romeo gave the car number .../500. Ferrari does not offer this, because they want to avoid troubles, if different owners ask for the the same number. But I had allready the number of the 8C on the left and the number of my plaque on the right side of my racing helmet. Therefore I asked for this combination looking similar to the 8C on the one hand and making sense at the same moment. Ferrari finally accepted it after some discussions, because the total of produced SA is indeed 499 and not 458.

    To me the matte white actually tricks my eye into thinking its Bianco Fuji. Gorgeous car!

    Grigio Abu Dhabi special paint from FF, Canna di Fucile stripe. Testa do Moro leathered also from FF, quilted. Had to sign a waiver as semi-aniline. Hope you like it.
