Ferrari 355 | eBay
$175k, yes really. If you have watched the global market you will see that there are many for sale at above that price in the EU. Take a look at what has happend to English prices in the last two years. My advice to the OP is stop trying to talk the prices down and rejoice with fingers crossed. Owners on forums seem to be there own worst enemy's regarding 355 values
Its Marshall Goldmans, they always ask premiums for their cars ferrari or other. They are very proud of their inventory ;-)
I'm not trying to "talk the price down" (I'm not sure how you came to that conclusion by my posting of one word: "really?") I own a '98 GTS, so I'm fine with prices skyrocketing, I'm just surprised to see them going for $120K more than 2 years ago when I bought mine... $30K more than the original sticker price on mine as a matter of fact. After years of seeing them for 1/2 to 1/3 of the original price I think it's a fair reaction to be surprised by them now going for 3 times what I paid.
It is surprising - however not as surprising as to the owners of a 512 M, 512 BB or a Lusso? Bottom line is Ferrari's are collectable and 355's are Ferrari's - IMHO they will do exactly what Dino's did.
This. They typically have nice inventory, but asking prices are typically beyond premium . . . at least by current N. America standards. If you want another eye popper from the same dealer, check this thread out on the TR board, http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/boxers-tr-m/494106-f512m-w-2k-miles-%24850k-marshall-goldman.html
Same thing happened with the Testarossa's and also the 512TR's. A lot of older Italian cars values have skyrocketed lately.
+1. Waiting for mine to be a $100K+ car. I've watched my 328 GTS, which I paid less for go up in value past my 355. Now if the 328 would only sell, I could realize that extra increase. It's all just paper value until it actually sells.
I hope they get the $175k for it. That will help the rest of the 355s appreciate nicely, it will also help 348 valuations.
you think i was the only one to draw that conclusion from your thread heading? Really? It seems its every week a thread like this starts, complaining about high asking prices of the cars. Strange phenomenon quite unique to ferrarichat 355 section.
