    Well - after about a year of research and a few close calls, I took ownership of my very own F430 spider. Fairly low mileage 12,000 2006. I was hoping for black but this was local to Chicago and the color grew on me...

    Just spent my first 2 hours driving around Chicago and I must say it was worth every penny. Is the past owner known to this board?

    Bought it at Continental and they were great to work with.

    Now some pics..

    Already had 5 people stop me and want to talk. Already got 1 "What do you do for a living", it was a bit overwhelming...

    You will get used to this. I remember when I first got my scud. It felt like everyone was looking at me, because they were. You'll tune it out after a while. As for the questions, they typically aren't that personal. Usually just people excited about the car and wanting to know more about it.

    Love the grigio silverstone and very nice color combo. I bought an f430 a year ago and you’re right, it worth every penny and more!

    Nice/congrats: And for me that combo is the only way I warm up to Red interior....matter of fact it is truly growing on me.

    Congrats man. I think the color combo really works! Recently bought my first F car (06 F430 too). I genuinely love the car. Two months in and i am over the self conscious thing already. Hopefully people can understand its not a status thing for most of us. We just love the machine and the sound and the rush.

    Thanks all... Someone asked above, located in Chicago. It was an enjoyable ride to work today (let's hope the weather holds until I get home). This won't be a daily driver but I couldn't resist driving it today. Thanks for all the kinds words, always worried you didn't make the right choice but I am loving it.

    It's funny I bought my 360 2 years ago and everyone at work asks almost everyday "where is the red car?" What they don't know is that I don't have to drive it to enjoy it! BTW your car looks great and the guys at Continental are great to work with.
