What price do you think they're looking for on the SWB?
Who is Stephanie? She seems to be involved in some good stuff. Same for Barney? Anyone onsite that can provide good insight?
Don't know about Barney But Stephanie Jacklin is director client services at RM and I think may be in charge of telephone bidding so could be seen as a buyer representative, could that be her?
That sounds about right. I think whenever Max mentioned someone by name, that person was representing a telephone bidder
Wonderfull Job Timmmy Thanks to you i can read the re-live (sort of ;-)) Sandman closed my eyes tonight her in Italy just before it started TX a lot
Well done Tim. Keep it coming over the next few days. I had a feeling the 250 LM would have made a bit more than that.
Sweet as bro, as we say here in New Zealand. So did I, I actually thought closer to $20 million would have been reasonable.....
Looks like quite a few cars sold for at the low end of,or even below, estimate - the Daytona Spyder and the Toyota 2000 notably. RM will be happy to have got most of the cars away though. be interesting to see how the rest of the weekend goes.
complete guess, but I would not be suprised to hear that the 250 LM has passed into the trade, and will appear again soon at + 20%..nice work if you can get it!
According to classic driver it might be heading to the UK https://www.classicdriver.com/en/article/cars/rm-sothebys-opens-monterey-auctions-world-record-results
Not that surprised by the LM, slightly surprised by the blinged up F1, but that Enzo....that was ridiculous IMO. Congrats to the seller.

A mixed bag IMO. More cars were well bought than well sold. The F1 seemed like a steal. Max usually does a very good job but he did seem to inadvertently stifle the bidding on the SLR.
288 Gto, F40, F50 are expensive cars now. The Enzo, the "latest" touch the clouds. This Enzo will never run now.
Not to the trade, even if the paddle was shown by someone in the trade, but a real buyer, I was told, in the room , by those in the know....remember by the time the car lands somewhere outside U.S. you also have to add import duties ...
we have certainly been bubbling, but I have never claimed an imminent bursting. I think still possible 2 years, 5 years, 10 years, but possible it just flattens or only pulls back 10-20% like muscle cars did 5 years back.
The pullback was a bit more than that, but... bring it on! one man's pullback is another man's 'buying opportunity!' Latest acq: Image Unavailable, Please Login
The car will go to UK. Do you think the final result possible in Europe? As far as I know you keep it since 2013. Why did you sold it? Do you have a real interest on Ferrari or it s pure speculation? Which car are you looking for?
Christian. Agree the 250 LM will definitely arrive back in UK(it is RHD after all) If now in the trade,my guess is that the buyer would be JD Classics,so we will see.
