In the UK, prices are clearly rising up... This 2004 Vanquish (non-SDP) with only 6350 miles (finished in Slate Blue color) is advertised for sale by an Aston Martin dealer at £100,000 (currently = $156,000) !!! http://www.jct600.co.uk/Used-Car-Details/used-aston-martin-vanquish-coupe-coupe-slate-blue-semi-auto-petrol-ID_326.aspx Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

That car would be a great driver. Austosport put their name on used Aston they sell and the cars are going trhu a rigourous check. They are a dealer so they cant screw around with those. Anything questionable gets addresses and is warrantied. That explains the price higher than usual. that is a car for the guy who does not want to take a chance
That interior is amazingly beautiful! Had my hands on a Non-S in 2013 with similar interior. Sent from my spaceship via Tapatalk.
In the same style of interior... '06 Vanquish S belonging to one of my friends. Midnight Blue with Atlantic Blue / Sand Storm interior. STUNNING color combo Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Most owners (I did) just replace them all just for the ease of not having to back to a shop if you have subsequent failures. I think the failure root case is all speculative from what I have read and heard and I've heard everything from heat of the engine bay to lack of use (how can it be both?!?), but the bottom line is nothing is definitive. In my case - my car had 17k when one coil failed and I just did a full swap (I have a box in my garage of good coils for a good price if anyone needs one) to ensure any issues was addressed and since I have do not have time for repeat visits to shop and I can happily say 4-5yrs later I am at 22kmi of in frequent use and no issues. There is No flaw that I am aware of in the part...your comment is NOT EVEN CLOSE regarding reality and borders urban legend stuff - can't recall what I paid for the job, but it was around $2-3k (parts and labor) at a independent shop. I ordered OEM coils and the coils are common Ford parts and have "FORD" on the side with a Ford Pn# when you examine them. I did not cross reference them, but there was nothing special about them. Erroneous again - How can a new clutch which is about $3k in parts end up costing you $25k (that's a lot of labor)?? A new clutch is around $5-6k US installed at a dealer and actually the clutch sensor is NOT a big expense. The part is very inexpensive (relative). You're talking a whole brand new gearbox at those prices (case and all). The senor only engages the clutch more aggressively, which prevents slippage and premature wear - NO other clutch internals or hard parts are affected
Ah thanks Sherlitt, you reassured me a lot Because I was wondering how there could be such a huge difference of service cost between the US and Europe.
Went back to his bills. I looked at it too quickly. He did pay $20K in total but that included some other A/C work and bobins replacement. Clutch sensor was $4K+labor+tax. Seems that he may have done some other too on the input shaft. Battery included at $249? Problem with these cars, even beyiond aston, is that you always get hit with work reapirs to do that you went it for. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
^^ Now that looks more like it Keep in mind parts from HWM are 25-30% cheaper (ie oil filter $60 U.S. And only $29 HWM) the $249 battery is definitely a dealer priced battery

Always wondered where that car and the copper kettle were hiding. The miles on it are higher than what I was expecting to see given the no top concept (only a nice weather car) and how rare it is. Glad to see it was in the hands of a real driver owner and not just collecting dust - it pulled a nice price which I am sure is attributed to it being a 1 of 1 car; otherwise I think if it would have had some production numbers (ie 50-100 built) it would be closer to 575 SA in price at this point.
Anyone familiar with the 04 SDP car in eBay? It was for sale a few months back, then disappeared and back from the same seller. Mileage is low (5k). Price seems a bit high, but given mileage, rarity, and assuming it's sorted...?? Anyone looked at it? Love those wheels! Aston Martin Vanquish 2 Door Coupe | eBay
If the color and options are to your liking I would make an offer. I've had a few people ask me (PM'd) about it awhile back, but I have never personally seen it and know it like most have been up for sale for awhile. It looks clean enough and being an SDP you get a lot of bang for the buck.
That car looks real nice. Price not out of wack at all on such a clean low mileage SDP. Good cars are hard to find. chek the Carfax from the seller. If straight forward, it would be a nice candidate to look at.
I remember it while it was for sale 2 years ago, seems that the ex-owner wanted to make a good deal on it Yes that's for sure, so cheap for a such low mileage SDP Vanquish !!! The car looks superb
As a new owners of 2 astons and 1 being a 1500 mile 2005 vanquish S I stumbled on this thread. Some great info here , and I don't know what it is, but there is just something special about these cars. Cant quite put my finger on it. Not many miles or seat time yet but these cars feel like a bargain at current prices.
Congrats! I assume you bought the car from Miller Motorcars in CT. The color combo was gorgeous and it looked brand new. I similarly bought an 1,100 miles Vanquish S from Miller Motorcars in Long Island last summer and do not regret it for a second; incredible car and top notch service.
Gents please post pics! Would enjoy seeing your recent acquisition and hearing about your driving experiences when you get more seat time - as a friendly reminder be sure to keep them on a charger/tender
I just noticed that this seemingly never ending Vanquish thread has had over 49k views and that the only thread with more viewers on this British car sub-forum is the Picture thread. On could assume that this is truely telling about the interest in the car.
The '04 SDP car is gone from eBay and presumably sold....interested to hear if anyone here got it. I'm a few months out from pulling the trigger, so just a lot of heavy trolling for me right now (and hoping prices stay reasonable!)
one more prospect for an 04? is there something I dont know about the 04 other than getting S mechanics for a non S price? All latest car sold seem to be 04?
