Will there be a F12 "HGTE" Announced at Frankfurt in September?

We do know the euro price is circa €400k in Germany for an average spec car and by average I am meaning a good normal spec. That is a confirmed and deposited order so it's not speculation. Prices in other markets such as US and UK are still unconfirmed but will be known by the end of September latest for the UK and I suspect those few people who went to the black box event at Pebble have a pretty good idea of the U.S. price?

 

I'm seeing the car on 1st September and will be creating a spec for it. My dealer assures I will know its cost. We'll see. I've also told him I want to know how many will be produced to make any sense of the likely cost, which I expect to move effortlessly into the early 400s GBP. Ferrari's bean-counters must be unfortunately viewing the current pound/euro as a profit opportunity too good to miss.

 

Do you already have some ideas for your final specs ?

 

Not a clue, I already use RC, Ferro/Silverstone roof, TdF/white stripes and Argento. Trying to think of something different while maintaining the VS's strength. Not keen on specs which are too vivid (yellow), too dark (you lose the detail) or too soft for this type (the otherwise pretty Grigio alloy for example). FChat thankfully provides plenty of prompts via some very clever/creative owners (especially 458 SA and 599 GTO threads). It's early days and a sweet problem to have; suggestions always welcome

 

You mentioned Grigio Alloy I think that would be an excellent choice especially for UK

 

Something like this would be cool and unique.

Also works well with blue, and similar stripe in white. Beige alcantara with black inserts and white stitching.

Could work perhaps with Grigio Scuro stripe/stripes? Otherwise GA alone is a bit soft, reminds me of the 360 Spider Miami launch shot.

 

I'm with Tim, looks very "busy". Maybe Argento with yellow stripe running the length?

Do you like Grigio Medio/scuro ? I thought about those two for my imaginary VS

This car is a game changer. Two seconds quicker at Fiorano than F12 ala rear steer (yes, rear steer is a HUGE issue for the better) and 780bhp and big sticky tires....tons of down force and 200lbs lighter.

Shut up and take my money please.

 

Argento with yellow stripe would be my first choice. I thought I read it that you didn't want grey so I didn't suggest it .

 

Haha.....when it comes to choosing a spec the only consistent thing is my inconsistency. I drive myself nuts. Apart from yellow calipers.....always a big no for me. A mate has a Lambo and it's so much easier for him - he says anything so long as it's in-your-face

Interesting. One for the config short-list. Saw the Avorio with black roof F12 that a US FChatter has specced. Very smart indeed. But for the VS would you use the almost obligatory stripes and if so what colour to contrast?

 

So is it sure that this car gonna have 4ws and 780 hp? I think that if without electric power and all the aero of the LaF this can lap in 1.21...if they would have developed it qt full potential, this would be faster than 1.19.70 record at Fiorano..quite tricky
