This is the third Miura I've seen like that. There is a green and another orange one similarly modified. Are the skirts painted body colour also? My guess is it's an "S".

I was reading this thread with the TV on in the background and I glanced up to see a Miura in a TV ad. Honestly, I thought I was imagining it. But then I tracked it down.

Did anyone get the chance to take a look at this P400 before auction?

    No, it's 2 differents P400S Miura.

And, Miura #4289 has just been sold a few days ago at MECUM Auction for $2.3M USD, especially for its original condition (not repainted...)...

2.300.000 USD for a Miura P400. I can't imagine how much a well preserved Miura SV example will cost now!

If it's the same car then they've moved the badges, and bb4635 stated different chassis numbers.

Thank-you for all your comments about the high (anormal) price of recently auctionned #4289, but my initial question was about the same Californian registration plate number found on two different cars (and no, the white #3982 has not been repainted in orange...) ?

For the one potentially interested - just have a look...

This was my girlfriend's car which she sold, and since obviously ended up at auction... I told her not to sell, but of course, she did as she wished.

The car was a true barn find (literally!), which we took to Evans Auto where we did a mechanical restore paying particular attention to originality and authenticity.

Like everyone else, I was shocked at the auction result. Feels good that others truly care about cars that represent the original condition well.

Still surprised that the SV did not do better, it was a 20 year old full restoration, but still a very nice car!

Is this the first time an S has sold for more than an SV within the same year? What is the world record for highest Miura sale price? One of the Jota's?
