I forgot to talk with Ian about my LED headlights on the drive home from GG. Sorry Ian!
Tonight was my first drive with them in the bush. No street lights and lots of corners. Very impressed.

Wow!! Are they really better than the 911 lights?

Factory Xenon lights, being 55w should be pretty damn good PP!

Definitely better. Same roads only 2 nights earlier, so it was pretty fresh in my memory. The LEDs are whiter and brighter and more penetrating.

    There ya go! Very interesting!

The 35w Xenons in my Brothers BMW 750Li are WAY better than the 55w HID kit I put in Nicole's old Statesman.

Both have the same 'projector' style head light assembly.

Ah, ok. I should have asked if they were the factory Xenon light.

So obviously someone has put a HID kit there before you got it.

I can understand now why the 308 lights would be just as good or better as you say.

I have factory Xenon 35w low beam in Nicole's new Prado wagon and man!!!!! They are the best lights you will ever see in your life!

I fit a quite expensive 55w HID kit into the high beam and the lights are that good on it now, I am not going to fit a bullbar to it anymore.

Was going to fit a bullbar so I could whack on a couple of spot lights and light bars for those early morning/late night family holiday trips.

We drove 1420 km back from Gladstone to Mount Isa 4 weeks ago, was a very nice drive and those lights lit that outback road up at 4.30 am.

    I put them in.

    35w low beam
    55w high beam.

I installed the best money can buy, as I usually do.

and STILL the 308 LEDs cost more!! but who cares.

    yes they are.

I wonder why after market xenons don't work as well as factory. I have projector low beams....the original Halogen was shocking. I think lights are pretty damn complex

I think it's the way the reflector/head light is designed. Could be wrong, I have never looked into this but I probably should.

*I have some info you asked about the other day, will contact you soon*

Nicole's old Statesman never came with factory Xenon lights, I put HID lights into it.

Sure, they were WAY better than the factory yellow Halogen bulbs, but doesn't compare to any car with factory Xenon lights with the purposely designed reflector/projector beam/head light to suit the Xenon light system.

The high beam in Nicole's Prado was not build for Xenon lights. I put the 55w HID kit into it and it's very good, but not much better really than the factory low beam Xenon lights.

They are not really any brighter than the factory Xenon low beam, but I was just happy to get rid of that yuck yellow Halogen 55w light.

High and low beam on in that car is awesome!
