bloody hell.....awesome job!!! At first I thought it already looked really good, but my god you've turned it into a stunner. Must sound awesome now too.
My little girls turn 4 next year, time goes too fast mate. Malaka! I posted a link to this thread weeks ago, twice I think! GREAT thread, he did an excellent job on that car. It's the little things that he and Gizzy have done on their Ferraris that have made them just that little better than the next one.
Will definitely be keen to join in on some drives. Some pics of her at home, she does need a clean though.. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks, it was a great base to start with, but all the extra details like Pap said makes the difference. I have yet to start the paint correction to remove all swirls then it will be a real stunner. As you know nothing beats a 355 for sound.
You're on ignore, so I don't see your posts. Yes...as a matter of fact I DO know that! Enjoy it...I loved mine for many years, as is the current owner now.
Very nice Rob.......I've always liked Mondial's quite a bit. A very much under-rated car. I know CJ is fond of them too. i guess you got that heater box issue all sorted. Well done. The irony is that yesterday, I sold my 308 to young gent from the Gold Coast and will be transported there tomorrow. It was a very rapid transaction and even I'm shocked that I sold it.It was my childhood dream car. All done in the valet parking area at Crown Towers. No PPI. I'd put that down to Carl Jones's reputation and my STUPIDITY in selling it. I'm having pangs of regret as I never actively tried to sell it. The new owner was very impressed how it drove and thought I down played its drivability and condition. i guess I got it mostly sorted by the time it moved on. Drive that car as much as you can Rob........that's something I never did enough of!
*shakes head* oh well......you can always buy another one.....from phil's dad again....after getting phil's advice on it. worked out well last time.
actually I take exception to your remarks, it did work out well.......and what makes you think any other 308 would've been that much different. What happened to the QV Carl bought? If memory serves me correctly, the day I first met you at the workshop Carl rented on weekends, CJ drove my car and said it was a good car. That was Dec 2011. You even took a video of the moment and posted on here. And the car came with a stack of receipts form reputable dealerships. Yep, as ever, you're spot on.
Another Ferrari and blow a lot of cash fixing it LOL.....seriously, its a wait and see game. In all probability, a 360 is most likely.
remind me again, then, how it took two years to get it right and why, since the day you got it, you expressed your disappointment. Some might say that Ferrari took the sheene off your ownership experience.
Lets not go into why it took 2 years to get it right! That alone took a lot of the sheene from the experience. But i accept that. Funny PP.
Let me put it this way......I learnt ALOT about Ferrari's with that car, I met some exceptional people along the way and include you in that (maybe that is the delusional part ), I had some great drive days and even the young gent who purchased my car was a great experience....I loved the way the car looked, the sound of the engine, the interior, the smell of an old world car, the positive responses from people on the street but yes, I was initially very disappointed about the way it steered and braked. That car did not put me off owning a Ferrari.......just that you can't rust the quality of the work performed in its past and having the right people working on your car matters a great deal.
Rob, the best part of your Mondial will be the people you meet along the way. Enjoy the car but enjoy the people you meet even more.
I don't give a sh*t.....you know I'm right, even if you're now in denial....you've told me so yourself.
